  1. NFL Blitz '99 - random gibberish and now rebooting.

The contacts on the board looked nice and clean. I saw nothing on the connector to alarm me. When I first turn the game on, I get about 4 minutes before it reboots. Then it just reboots and reboots and won't come back.
  2. NFL Blitz '99 - random gibberish and now rebooting.

I replaced the power supply and it worked for about 4 days. There was still minimal gibberish on the screen, but the game worked. Now it's back to rebooting over and over. Is my board dead?
  3. Power Supply. Peter Chou vs ATX Style

What does the -5v knob do?
  4. Power Supply. Peter Chou vs ATX Style

I wired the new power supply in, and the machine is no longer rebooting (so far) but I still have some random gibberish on the screen in some places. I'm going to let the machine on for a bit and see if it starts acting stupid again. I hope this fixed it.
  5. Power Supply. Peter Chou vs ATX Style

I received my new power supply today, and it's a bit different from the Peter Chou that is currently in the machine. First, the Peter Chou has a 12v-2A, and the new unit is 12v-4A. Is this ok? Secondly, the Peter Chou has 2 spots at the bottom labeled "AC". The new unit has AC-N and AC-L...
  6. Power Supply. Peter Chou vs ATX Style

My replacement power supply will be here tomorrow. Need I worry about the little 5 volt knob on the power supply, or should it be good to go right out of the box?
  7. Power Supply. Peter Chou vs ATX Style

Mine has a Peter Chou (brand) flat style. I think I can handle the crimping. So is the Happ Power Pro 200 the way to go? I can get a pack of 9-way molex plugs and do the deed. Is there an advantage of doing the Power Pro 200 vs using the 130W flat style?
  8. Power Supply. Peter Chou vs ATX Style

The machine in question is an NFL Blitz 99, but I suspect this could be useful info for many machines. My machine has a Peter Chou power supply. I suspect it is bad, but have not tested it yet. If it tests bad, do I want to replace with another Peter Chou style, or a Happ Power Pro 200 style...
  9. NFL Blitz '99 - random gibberish and now rebooting.

Would a dying power supply cause the issues I described? Random gibberish on certain parts of the screen, with rebooting?

  14. NFL Blitz '99 - random gibberish and now rebooting.

NFL Blitz '99 - random gibberish and now rebooting. My NFL Blitz 99 started to display random gibberish here and there on the screen about a year ago. It gradually got worse, and now the machine starts and reboots at random times. It never goes for more than 2 minutes before a reboot. Power...
  15. NFL Blitz 99 - Power Supply

Thanks for the reply. My machine has a switching power supply now, and a large transformer on the floor of the machine. If I get a non-switching power supply, do I need to change anything other than wire it up and go? The problem I'm having is that the game developed portions of garbage...
  16. NFL Blitz 99 - Power Supply

I have a NFL Blitz '99 game with a Peter Chou power supply. Will an ATX computer power supply work, or what other power supplies will work with this machine? Thanks!
  17. WTB: NFL Blitz 99 pcb

    I need a working Blitz '99 pcb.
  18. FS Parts: NFL Blitz '99 PCB/HDD & NFL Blitz 2000 Gold PCB/HDD

I have a Blitz '99 4-player. Will your Blitz '00 Gold be a direct swap in my cabinet?
  19. NFL Blitz '99 - Scrambled graphics

I have a Blitz '99. You can play the game, but during game play, both sidelines on the football field are a black and white scrambled mess. It does not affect the game play, you can have your players run through the scrambled mess. The game operates fine in attract mode. It just goes funky...
  20. FS Game: For Sale in PA - Tekken 3

Understood. That's why I'm always very careful and certain to include the location in the post, because some of the items I sell are here at my home, some are at other locations. I don't want someone to see my hometown and assume the item is here. I always list the exact location of the item...
