With respect to the star cluster called "Pleiades", I've heard it pronounced by astronomers as many different ways as you can imagine. As for the video game. I swear I remember a magazine ad for it which explicitly indicated that it was pronounced "play-it-ease", but I haven't been able to find...

I've been presuming this for many years, but it's still important history to me. Also, the only person I know that remembers playing it back in the day is a very accomplished gamer and was never able to get past the first level, nor was anyone else he knew. I'm curious to see what the secret is...
