This worked. I had an issue 4 and an issue 6 trying to plug into an issue 4 or less harness. Removed pin 4 or 5 on each deflection board, plugged them back in, both worked and behaved the same way. Graphics have weird squiggles but clearly that's not deflection related. Now I can do this...

Do you typically desolder and pull or just snip them? I imagine that desoldering might damage the plastic housing? It was pretty good. We were just stopping in on our way from MA to ME.

Simplest answer is to look at the boards and edge connectors, see if anything looks heat damaged. Then pull the power block up, flip it over, and look for heat damage on the underside. Look at the fuse block for heat damage. The amount of burned wires and contact points are going to determine...
