Yeah it says that player 2 left and right is on solder side so I assume that's underneath the board??

Ok thanks. I'm not really sure but ill have a look and give it a try. What's a better way of doing it - strip a wire at both ends and touch one end to ground the ground pin and other to the left or right pin?

Ok thanks for that. When you say a wire that is grounded could I use an alligator clip clipped to metal and then use another alligator clip at other end to touch the connector??
