When installing the external battery pack, it says that there is a diode to prevent the game from attempting to recharge the batteries. With the 2032 watch type battery application it doesn't talk about a diode with that. Do you still need a diode with the lithium watch batteries

This one is pure mechanical. It looks like one side of the bar is near the coin slide and the other side is near the arm that raises the ball up to the play field. Plays fine without it so?
