Arpicade - "Super 60 in 1 pcb" vertical game line-up!

Kickman, What emulator did you find worked best with the Namco collection roms? I am currently using 106 and while it seems to run at good speed the sound is really bad in vol1 original Galaga.

That was it. The answer is yes a broken vertical hold pot can cause vertical collapse on a k7000a. Thanks security and tron guy.

    joysticks for multigames?

I had a servo stick in my arcade sd cab but ultimately switched to a dedicated 4 way. It just didn’t like the feel for Ms Pac Donkey Kong etc.

    k7000a vertical collapse

I just recapped a k7000a that was working fine before and when powering up I now have complete vertical collapse. Upon examination it looks like I cracked the vertical hold pot. I am going to repair it of course but is that likely the cause of the collapse?

    Tube swap Success! But wait...

Yeah I didn’t want to have to do the convergence setup again I had done it a couple of times before with two different g07 chassis. I will go ahead and do the cap kit when it arrives. The good news is behrmr was spot on. I turned each of the color drivers down and the squiggles on the test...

    Tube swap Success! But wait...

Over the holiday I bought a WG7901 from Craigslist while visiting my family. My dad also gave me an old 19 inch Magnavox tv. The tube in the WG has burn in from some video slot machine game. It was a a48abk05x. I pulled the cover off the TV and what do you know it has a a48afn40x. Tubular...

    Asteroids with a bad beep

Well I replaced the 4016 but that did not fix the issue for me. It did seem to reduce the frequency of the occurrence but it did not go away altogether. It is now fixed but I am still scratching my head as to why. After testing the board after installing the 4016 I decided to go ahead and...

    Asteroids with a bad beep

Found some video on the Hakko. It is a lot faster than I imagined. I had read about the Hakko before but didn’t realize the hot air would be worse for the board than a contact tool. I won’t do this kind of work that often. Is there anything not quite as premium priced that has comparable...

    Asteroids with a bad beep

Thank you for responding. I will give this a go tomorrow evening. I see the chip. Figures that is not socketed yet on this board. I will borrow a chip from another Asteroids board I made non-working by destroying soldering pads while trying to fix a graphical glitch. It has a socketed...

    Asteroids with a bad beep

I hope someone can help me with this. I have and Asteroids with a bad beep. Every so often when firing I get a single beep that sounds just like the beeps that occur when you earn an extra life. After digging around in repair logs and forum posts I learned that this could be caused by a bad...
