Installing a K7000 in a Candy Cab - any known issues?

Dropped him a line - good looking out. If Chad's unable to fix it, do you think there'd be any issues with just tracking down another, more common variety of Nanao 25" monitor as a replacement?

Installing a K7000 in a Candy Cab - any known issues?

Good to know! Ideally, I'd like to be able to salvage the rotation mechanism turntable that's affixed to the MS8-25F as well, as it's a huge part of what made the cab so convenient. Maybe I'll have to hunt for some techs on here that live in the area and are more savvy than I am when it comes to...

Installing a K7000 in a Candy Cab - any known issues?

Ah, that's a shame. Do you think I should just look into swapping it with a Nanao MS9 series medium res monitor to replace the MS8? Ideally, I'd like to just have the MS8 I have repaired but I can't find anyone in my area willing to take a stab at it. :/ Thanks for the info.

Installing a K7000 in a Candy Cab - any known issues?

Installing a K7000 in a Candy Cab - any known issues? Hey guys, My Capcom Q25 candy cabinet has been out of commission all year since my Nanao MS8-25F kicked the bucket. After waiting 8 months for a repair tech to return it in working order (that never happened), I've decided I might as well...

Atomiswave Mobo With Fuzzy, Washed-out Picture

Hey guys, I just received an Atomiswave motherboard in the mail today and am having some issues with it. Namely, the picture is very gray, fuzzy, and saturated. I checked the dip switches to make sure switch one is set to off (standard def) and tried multiple carts to no avail. Anybody have any...

LF Reliable Candy Cab Monitor Repair Tech In Delaware/Philly Area

Heya NoAffinity, I'm betting the problem is the chassis, but I'd rather have a tech be able to see the tube and everything else just to rule out any variables, you know? In any case, if I'm unable to find a tech to help I'll have to drop one of them a line. Thanks!

LF Reliable Candy Cab Monitor Repair Tech In Delaware/Philly Area

Hey man, thanks for the reply. My tech claims to have inspected the capacitors and replaced the vertical IC chip, but honestly I don't even know if I'm getting the story straight anymore. If Newark, DE isn't too far out of your way a house call would definitely be cool, but if that's a hike I...

LF Reliable Candy Cab Monitor Repair Tech In Delaware/Philly Area

LF Reliable Candy Cab Monitor Repair Tech In Delaware/Philly Area Hey guys, my Capcom Q25's monitor crapped the bed earlier this year (full vertical collapse). A local repair tech came and picked it up from me in February, and has since been jerking me around, only giving me updates once or so...

OMG!! There are so many things wrong with this

That button layout is atrocious. It looks like you have to do "jazz hands" just to reach all the buttons.

My 1 year old plays Robotron...

That's so awesome, I love him jumping around going nuts in it. It's always awesome seeing your kids take enjoyment in your own hobbies. My son is hooked on arcade games already. It cracks me up when he turns on the cabs on his own to get a few rounds of House of the Dead or Die Hard Arcade in...

    Few shots of the Garcade.

Looks great man. Also, I have to say I'm glad to see an Assualt cabinet in there. That's one of my old favorites that definitely doesn't get enough love.

Picked up a House of the Dead last night.

Those are very nice looking, though I'll hold off. 300 smackers for guns is a bit steep. Yeah, it's always been a personal favorite of mine. I've got a ton of fond memories of blasting through this and Time Crisis 2 as a teenager. I'm actually growing pretty fond of the Happ gun. It feels more...

Picked up a House of the Dead last night.

$300 for a HOTD2 is a steal. I would've drug that thing home on my back if I found a deal like that.

Picked up a House of the Dead last night.

In a perfect world, sure. I was more than happy to pay what he was asking though, as it was significantly less than his retail price. I've actually debated on hunting down a HOTD2 or HOTD3 next, though honestly I think at seven cabinets I'm ready to move on to getting a pinball or pool table...

Picked up a House of the Dead last night.

lol, that's so strange. Freaking hilarious. I paid $600 for the cabinet. Not a bad price in my opinion considering the condition, the medium res monitor, and one Sega gun.
