Understood, and if it was only the first time you power up for the day I wouldn't mind. But every time you switch boards, kinda annoying. I was thinking maybe a simple time delay relay that would cut the speaker for the first few seconds. It would reset when you switch games. Just a thought...

Just a follow up, I have the 6-way switcher and converted all the PCB's to composite sync. Got the ArcadeShop Mr.Do! PCB to JAMMA adapters. Everything works, all three boards play fine. I even threw an ArPiCade into one of the slots for good measure. Got two slots left! Lady Bug? I have one...

I'm trying to restore a Defender that was hacked into a 19-in-1. I bought a complete set of Defender boards that were recently gone over by a Defender guru and I saw a video of the boards working, so I don't *think* it's a board problem, but who knows.... Here is what is happening: I installed...

I'm looking for the brackets to fit an older style defender soundboard. The ones in my machine don't match up with the boards I just picked up for a restore. Thanks!

Good point. I’m a bit concerned about that myself. The adapters are kind of expensive but foolproof. And if I use the hacked cables it still needs an external amp. Not sure if that would play well if I put other standard JAMMA boards in the switcher. I may just suck it up and buy the adapters.

I purchased a 6 in 1 switcher, as for the adapters, I think I’ll hack some JAMMA extension cables. The adapters I’ve seen have the audio amp built in, nice but I have three Do amps on the shelf.

I’m working on a cabinet with Mr. Do!, Yankee Do, and Mr Do’s castle. Got three more slots to fill and I think Ladybug would fit nicely.
