Who's cap kit did you use? It honestly looks like bad cap. Might be a failing pot on the chassis as well. Maybe Deoit the pots and work them back and forth a bit. Let dry them fire it back up.

I'm hoping someone can help here...It starts about 5 mins after turning on the game. I've done the usual things to try and fix this, cap kit, fly-back and HOT and a thorough solder re-flow but this is still happening. any other suggestions on what may be causing this?? thanks guys :)

Wow.. you said it perfectly!! Ive often thought of just selling off what I have and get into something different myself... like you said, fun of the hobby is all but gone especially due to the ridiculous prices these games have soared into. Sad really :(
