  1. Introduction from Rhode Island!

Welcome. Thats a great list of games. I collect rotary games too. I really want a Rampart and Smash TV.
  2. How much cheaper were bootlegs compared to legit pcbs back in the days?

This is very interesting. I only assumed they were cheaper not that their was limited supply.
  3. So i got this given to me, what ya'll think?

I don't think this is worth much as it is only a 15". I still would keep it though.
  4. Cracked k7000, too far gone?

I just saw this thread now. I am the one UnknownMK sold this chassis too. he double boxed it and padded the chassis and at some point USPS did crumple the box. Personally I told him I would use thick boxes or really stiff inserts but the damage was ridiculous so maybe nothing would of saved it...
  5. SOLD - PARTS Sold: Neo geo MVS 2 slot PCB

I sent you a PM about this.
  6. 6 player X-men board work.

Serious question. If you are not going to use standard res CRT monitors why not just MAME it and use a standard 16:9 monitor? You already will be digitizing the video and any other monitor other than CRT is going to negate the use of the original PCB.Your looking at $1000 just in...
  7. Looking for Mortal Kombat CP Wood, Metal and Lexan

I am also looking to make a control panel UMK3 to put in my MK1 cab so I don't have to cut the run button. Can you make a compete panel with overlay? PM me if you are interested in selling.
  8. NEW Who is this guy killing games ?

Another issue I have is the LCD's they are using. It bad enough they don't bother trying to get a CRT working but they are not buying wells gardner LCD's specifically designed for arcade crt replacements either. These LCD's are $200-300 and have a proper mounting bracket. They are taking apart...
  9. NEW Who is this guy killing games ?

I have a friend that thinks he does these multicades too. The thing I don't understand is that if you had all of those 500 games you must have a decent job, space, and free time. Why would you go through that much time and effort to make a few hundred dollars maybe? Seems like a total waste of...
  10. odd T2 on craigslist - Is this a conversion?

This is on craigslist. Is this a conversion? Assuming it is it why would anyone do this and did they even offer T2 as a kit?
  11. Crazy price for a Darius pcb and harness!

I have been looking for about 5 years for one. Not one has come up until 2 months ago. It was untested and went for over $1000. I was thinking about $800 for a tested working one. $1300 was out of my price range for one. Strange how nothing for 5 years and two in the last month. Terrible...
  12. NEW AND IMPORTANT Checking interest on New 19" CRT monitors

I think the most important spec is the CRT is pitch and type of CRT. Is it a trinitron style shadow mask? If the crt is flat vertically and has a small pitch I am not sure anyone will want them unless they are very cheap.
  13. Converting shitty games?

cal 50 a crappy game? This is my favorite game. Also, most SETA from that era did not have dedicated cabs and were kits only.
  14. Kortek Monitor Cap Kit

Both of mine have a very rounded bulged out filter cap like yours. I wonder if this is normal. I did buy some replacements anyway but I have not replaced them yet.
  15. Rant for the sake of ranting: Canada and USA : shipping of parts and cabs

You can't compare anything to china. The Chinese government subsidizing everything including international shipping and waives tariffs to sustain their own economy with no consideration for others. What you are seeing is the reason why we have a issue with Chinese currency being undervalued...
  16. capacitor lifespan

Large value filer Caps seem to last much longer than other caps on CRT monitor boards. I believe due to what they do and that they are low voltage and large value the actual capacitance will not effect much unless really far off. I do not know or hear of many being replaced ever.
  17. If you could only have ONE machine, what would it be?

Sorry to say if I could only have one machine it would one of the better Mame Cabinets with a real 25" tri sync crt curved tube monitor with a limited number of controls. Other than that a neogeo 2 slot with jamma adapter to put in other boards. I don't think I could ever just have one...
  18. Usable donor tube? Sony Trinitron KV 1926R

Trinitron tubes do not have normal deflection so they can't be used unless you hack the original chassis to accept CGA/EGA. I think it may output something but the focus, geometry, and white field uniformity will never be right.
