Where to find Black Adhesive Vinyl

Basically looking to do the same thing as this person was... https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=89834 I contacted ThisOldGame and he said the manufacturer he used had recently quit making what he used and he'd not found a good replacement yet. Anyone have any ideas where to look?

    96 in 1 Multi-Pac troubleshooting

I have a Rev 2.54 96-1 Multipac. Lately it's been reverting back to it's initial state (losing all of my game settings and scores). Any ideas on what could be causing this? Would it be something in the kit going bad or the actual gameboard? Any pointers on where I should start looking?

    Turbo Upright Questions

Just picked up a Turbo upright that I knew needed repair. First order of business is a cap kit - but not sure which monitor it has in it. There's a paper on the side of the cabinet that says Nanao 20" but no model number. I took some pics and have them posted here (and attached a pic of what...

    Galaga Power Supply Repair

Just picked up a Galaga (S/N 516). Suprisingly the harness appears to be intact. I want to rebuild the original PS rather than wire in a switcher. I know Bob Roberts sells a kit - but it seems he's been backlogged for a while. Does anyone have a Newark/Mouser/Digikey parts list of what I'd...

WTB: Tempest Cabaret & Clay's Multigame

I'm looking for a Tempest Cabaret and/or Clay Cowgill's multigame for it (with Vector Breakout). I'm in Leonardtown, MD. I'm more interested in the condition of the cabinet than the electronics. I'm decent at repairing the electronics but not so handy with the power tools... So I'd consider a...

MD CL posting - Galaxian (not mine)

I didn't think it was an especially good deal at $400, but the fact they listed it as "Antique" cracked me up... They also mentioned "console video game". I don't know of any "console" games I'd pay that much for, LOL. http://baltimore.craigslist.org/vgm/1883956637.html

    Monroe Joystick Lubrication

I'm working on restoring a Gyruss and have taken apart the joystick and cleaned it up as best possible. Now I'm wondering what to use to lubricate things - hopefully something that won't collect dirt, and hopefully will last a while.

    Gyruss Joystick Dust Cover ?

Was the original dust cover on a Monroe joystick in a Gyruss made out of a soft leather type material? Also, was it just on the stick loosely or was it glued to the underside of the control panel? Is there anywhere that sells replacements?

    Tube Swap Question

I thought I had seen on here a link where you could enter a model number of a TV and find out what model picture tube it had (or at least what socket) - but I can't find it again. The particular TV I'm looking at is a Zenith SMS1943S, and would be going into a 4900 chasis. It's a little out...

    Gyruss Wiring

Just picked up a Gyruss that basically is in need of total rewiring as the original wiring was ripped out. I can follow the wiring diagrams in the manual to get everything back up and running - but a good picture of the interior of the cabinet (especially the wiring) would be a help as I'd like...

    ID This Cabinet?

Anyone know what this Nintendo cabinet used to be??? I've had it for quite some time, bought it with the intention of building a MAME system in it - but never figured out what it used to be at one point.

    Router / Bit Recommendations

Getting ready to put together an order at Harbor Freight for a few things (heat gun, nut driver set, security torx bit set, helping hands). One of the things that's on my list of tools to have around that I don't yet have is a router with some common bits used for working on cabinets. Does...

    Glass Bezel Restoration

I've got a Galaga bezel with the artwork in very good shape except a small piece missing in the lower right corner (the y in Bally is partially missing). Also, the top of the glass has some scratch marks in it. Would it be possible to remove the scratches somehow or would I likely be better...

    Water Damaged Galaga Cabinet

I'm in the process of restoring a Galaga and have come to the point of cleaning up the cabinet itself. Now, I'm not a master craftsman when it comes to woodworking, but given enough detail and hints I'm pretty sure it's not beyond me (I'm more an electronics guy). It looks like much of the...

    Galaga Restoration & TwoBits

I unfortunantly stumbled across this blog a little too late as my order from Two Bits arrived today... http://www.rotheblog.com/2008/05/arcade-game-artwork/two-bits-ms-pac-man-control-panel-overlay-artwork-inaccurate/ Note, I am restoring a Galaga and not a Ms. Pac but I wish I had seen this...

    Essential Tools?

I've been out of the collection/restoration community for quite a few years but am just now picking it back up. My question is, for working on the vids, what tools do you find ESSENTIAL in your toolkit that you find yourself using all the time or that you couldn't live without? I've already...

    Multipac 24in1 Reset

I have a Rev 1.0 of Clay's Multipac kit. What is the easiest way to set this up so that the P1 & P2 start buttons reset it and take it back to the menu? I found some thing that mentioned I guess a later version of the kit where you hooked up to R42/43 and D2 and they went to the 7F board. But...

    Robotron Issues

Have a Robotron upright that isn't working. I've checked the power supply/fuses and they seem fine. Basically when powered up the rug pattern scrolls across the screen and stops. Pressing the button on the sound board plays a pattern of repeating sounds and the program board LED is flashing...
