  1. Ms. Pacman No Power

Ok, I took my time last night with the help of a friend tracing through everything and it turns out one of the 2 amp slow blow fuses was blown. I replaced that fuses and we're back in business. Woohoo!
  2. Ms. Pacman No Power

Two fuses are blown, but the remaining are fine. I've replaced two fuses but still no power.
  3. Ms. Pacman No Power

ok, the fuses under the cardboard appear to be good, but I am going to go replace them all anyhow.
  4. Ms. Pacman No Power

Ah... I saw the cardboard protector, but had not removed it. The marquee light was working hours before the whole system went out. My plan is to replace all of the fuses and see if that fixes it. Are the F1 and F2 main line fuse?
  5. Ms. Pacman No Power

I didn't realize you could pull the peg out. When I work on the machine, I usually take some electrical tape and keep the peg pushed in. :-) Thanks. I've seen those same reports, are there two seperate fuse holders? (Some of the threads seem to say "replace both fuse holders") On my unit I...
  6. Ms. Pacman No Power

Hey there, My Ms. Pacman is no longer powering up. Neither monitor or even the marquee has power. I've checked out the fuse holder on the power supply and replaced two fuses that appeared to have blown. I plan to replace the remaining two later today. Some posts here lead me to believe there...
  7. JPAC Connection Question

Thanks can someone walk me through the 101 on conversion boards like the JPAC? (http://ultimarc.com/jpac.html) Am I correct in that I plug the JAMMA harness to the conversion board, then run a USB and VGA connector to the PC?
  8. JPAC Connection Question

What I might do is buy two male connectors and run new wires from those to the JPAC, that way I can leave the additional harness for the Chicago Gaming unit intact and restoring to its original state is simply a matter of plugging it back into the original board.
  9. JPAC Connection Question

I'm looking through the possibility of converting a Chicago Gaming Ultimate Arcade 2 unit that I have to run off of a PC. Open the unit up inside reveals that the unit is JAMMA (see the photo at http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffsand/3512034802/?ref=mf) for what the existing PC board looks like...
  10. just got 1069 in 1....need help setting it up!

Sorry to ressurect such an old thread, but I am definitely interested in the how to. I also have an Arcade 2 from Costco and would like to do the same upgrade.
  11. Ultimate Arcade 2 and JAMMA

Hey there, I own an Ultimate Arcade 2 from Chicago Gaming. (In addition to a Ms. Pacman that I recently restored - http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffsand/sets/72157607330818498/). I was wondering if anyone has taken an UA2 and replaced the proprietary OS with a JAMMA board like the 1069 in 1...
  12. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

Yup. I'm at MS in Redmond. Some day we should meet for coffee, does Nintendo have a company store? :-)
  13. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

Sorry I missed your party Full Throttle, maybe next year? (Work has been a little crazy) I'm now complete with the restoration of this Ms. Pacman. Adjusting the B+ and V. Lin really improved the screen resolution. I've also now sanded down the cabinet, replaced the bezel and repainted. Here's...
  14. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

Thanks again everyone. The machine is running great, does anyone have experience with the TwoBits replacement decals? If I get the machine cleaned up, my wife will let me move it into our family room.
  15. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

interesting. will the joystick work too?
  16. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

Actually, this isn't that same cabinet. I found this one at work in a hallway and bargained with the owner for the last few weeks. So it looks like that one might still be available. :-) Was curious if there were many folks from Washington State on here. Glad to meet one.
  17. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

Wow, I can't believe nobody took the softball. No, the 60 in 1 will not "plug and play" in your Ms. Pac cab. If you can open the back of your game, look at the PCB (board) where it plugs in to the wire harness. That is specific to Ms. Pac (and I think a few others in the Pac series) while the...
  18. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

Ok, I found one of those and adjusted with the pots. I've got the screen almost centered now and it is no longer cut off on the right side. I think with the help of a neighbor (it got a little old going from the back of the machine to the front) I can probably get it perfect. thanks everyone...
  19. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

Ok, thanks everyone. I found the pots, but do not have a 1/8" plastic hex head at home (all my tools are metal) so this will need to wait until tomorrow. (figured putting a needle nose inside is not a good idea)
  20. My New Ms. Pacman (with Pictures)

Ok, found a better picture. I'll give this a whirl adjusting the v.lin and see what happens. Wish me luck. Thanks everyone.
