mtc 9110 (I think) image is pulsing

Try rotating the brightness pot (RV7) on the chassis, fully in both directions a few times, could be a bad contact on the wiper of the pot. It is a 9110 btw, just an uprated version of the mtc9000, for 25 & 28" tubes

Building a Defender Power Supply.. options?

I have an original (rebuilt 2007) linear psu in both my Defender and Stargate but also have the add on over voltage board that came with the first run of Stargate's in both, solves the problem, keeps the originality. Both been stable since rebuild 5 years + Andy.

What inspired your jump into this hobby?

Finding a Defender in the middle of a pile of bricks, in a cafe I used to frequent as a kid, offered the equivalent of $140 and taking it home with me on the back of a truck. This was in 1985, collection is now at 17 and climbing. Andy.

    Removing Glue from Controls? Photo

I think the only way around it is to cut the wood away and remake it, its only a bit of chipboard with 2 holes in it.
