Funny... I was just doing the same last night. I replaced the switch next to r2.. screws would not fricken come out.

On mine, the Death Star starts spinning when the ball is launched - I don't think it stops spinning during game play. R2 is the same way. Since it is intermittent, my first check would be to check the solder on the wires to the motors... it's a good place to start at least. Good luck.

Well... finally finished this nightmare project. I think I have been doing this one on and off for about a year! All in all I think it came out o.k. Funny, I don't even really like the game, and I don't especially care for cocktail games, but when I saw the state of disrepair I could not...

O.K. - Just rebuilt a flipper (it broke) and WHOA! The ball is FLYING around the play field now... not sure what is going on. Air balls GALORE. Almost not playable. Anyone know why rebuilding one flipper could make the game so friggin' fast and HARD...?

Yeah.. it's not that big of a deal.. It's just I've owned one of these before and that one got all the way through "may the force be with you" at the beginning of the game. Gameplay is fine, all sounds seem normal. My biggest problem is finding the Death Star "bar target"... seems impossible...

So... I just bought a DE Star Wars pin and upon powering it up old Obi Wan says "May the force.." and then that's it. I'm assuming he probably is supposed to say "May the force be with you"... I ran through the diagnostic test for the voices and it seems fine. Any ideas on where to start...
