  1. FS Game: DK3, good working condition - Phoenix, AZ

Thanks for all the interest folks! Looks like it's likely spoken for at this time but I'll update the thread if/when sold.
  2. FS Game: DK3, good working condition - Phoenix, AZ

[SOLD - thanks for the interest guys!] Hi all, I have a DK3 in nice working order. Like most games of this age it has a few issues but nothing serious. Off the top of my head, the most notable issues are: - Scratch on the clear plastic front. Not very noticable while playing but pretty...
  3. FS Game: Gorf in Phoenix, AZ - Very good condition

Gorf is now sold pending a pick-up. If anything changes I'll post to this thread. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest.
  4. FS Game: Gorf in Phoenix, AZ - Very good condition

I've had a number of requests for the additional damage pics so I'll just post them to save everyone some time. The widest point of the cabinet separation is around 1/4" (the angle of the photo makes it look like 1/2" but it's less). This is towards the bottom of the right side as you can see...
  5. FS Game: Gorf in Phoenix, AZ - Very good condition

I wish I could consider trades, but I'm downsizing so this needs to be a cash deal.
  6. FS Game: Gorf in Phoenix, AZ - Very good condition

Reduced to $375. BTW, I'll be happy to ship at the buyer's expense but they'd need to arrange for pickup, wrapping and so on. I just don't currently have the time to handle that stuff myself.
  7. FS Game: Gorf in Phoenix, AZ - Very good condition

Bump - I forgot I'd listed this a while back. Still available.
  8. FS Game: Gorf in Phoenix, AZ - Very good condition

I bought this a couple of years back from a forum member but no longer have space for it. This is a very good + condition Gorf, in excellent working order with the exception of the speech synth which is silent for some reason. The rest of the sound works fine; I haven't had the chance to check...
  9. FS Game: Gorf, Phoenix AZ - very good + condition

I bought this a while back from a forum member but recently realized I just don't have space for it. This is a very good + condition Gorf, in excellent working order with the exception of the speech synth which is silent for some reason. The rest of the sound works fine; I haven't had the...
  10. WTB: DK wiring harness

Hi all, I have a DK3 that I'm trying to convert back to its original DK configuration. I now have all the parts I need except for the wiring harness. It's my understanding that I need a completely different wiring harness to connect to the original DK board (someone please correct me if I'm...
  11. Requesting help with a non-booting Space Invaders cabaret

Aha. A little more searching yielded a diagram showing which RAM positions are which, at least for some boards: http://www.outerworldarcade.com/arcade/space_encounters/space_encounters_test_rom.html I'm going to start with RAM #5 according to that diagram and see what happens.
  12. Requesting help with a non-booting Space Invaders cabaret

Yes, I think so. But to ask a potentially dumb question what should I be grounding those pins to? I sure don't want to mess up and ruin more of them.
  13. Requesting help with a non-booting Space Invaders cabaret

I definitely don't see anything suggesting column & row numbers. But there are small numbers appearing near each chip - and they're consistent with those displayed on the schematic from the Midway user guide. The thing is the numbers start at the top left and go from 10 to 33. So that part...
  14. Requesting help with a non-booting Space Invaders cabaret

Say.... I seem to be missing some information. The manual and schematics don't seem to have RAM chips numbered individually. The Braze website indicates that "5 beeps" = location G12, but that doesn't seem to correspond to any labels I see. I'll socket & replace them all eventually, but for...
  15. Requesting help with a non-booting Space Invaders cabaret

Thanks for the tip Greg. What are you using to clip the legs? There's not much room to get to those, even with the board out.
  16. Requesting help with a non-booting Space Invaders cabaret

Great, thank you! I'll order replacement RAM from that link and see if it does the trick. I assume that people typically add sockets when performing this type of replacement? Seems like the sensible thing to do.

Here is a pic of the board w/ RAM, and the RAM itself. Oddly, the manual I found online says the RAM is TMS4060NL for this model, but the chips in the pic are different. Possibly replaced at some point?
  18. Requesting help with a non-booting Space Invaders cabaret

Thanks for the link. This is a Taito SI "trimline", and it has 3 perpendicular boards (pic attached).
  19. Requesting help with a non-booting Space Invaders cabaret

Very interesting - thanks! The SI makes 5 beeps each time, which corresponds to memory chip G12 according to that link. I'll do some searching, but does anyone know of a source for those memory chips?
