Intreating find at Wallgreens. Some kind of Ms. Pacman.

Popped up on my feed. https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/my-arcade-ms.-pac-man-pocket-player/ID=300414377-product?cjdata=MXxOfDB8WXww&cjevent=73505f5e5f6a11f0832903390a82b832&CID=2917105&ext=100118468&PID=100118468&AID=15735819&SID=md0s6reu1u03mbv10yty0&click_id=73505f5e5f6a11f0832903390a82b832

    EPROM storage tubes

Most of my games have a HighScoreSave kit in them, and I usually removed the un-needed EPROMS from the boards when I install the kit. I want to keep the removed EPROMS, but I can't seem to fine anywhere to purchase the anti-static plastic tubes to store them in. Anyone have any sources?

    Soldering station question

Stupid question - I just got a weller WLC-100 soldering station. The control base has a dial that goes from 1 to 5, and the iron plugs into that. My question is, does the base just change the voltage sent to the iron when the adjustment dial is changed? The iron itself has a standard AC plug on...

FREE - Parts: Soda machine compressor

About 10-11 years ago I bought a Cavalier CS64-ES with the thoughts of restoring it. Those plans went out the window years ago, but I still have the compressor deck. If I remember correctly, I had replaced the fans, cleaned it up really good, and it did get cool when I plugged it in. If anyone...

    + Big thanks to big420atx

My skeeball game had 8 balls that were 3 1/8" and 0ne that was 3". Always felt weird playing. @big420atx hooked me up with a replacement ball that was not only the correct size but matched the other balls perfectly.

Midway 4 way to 8 way joystick conversion

Now that Crafty has released Bosconian on the BitKit2, I need an 8 way joystick. I have an extra Rally-x CP which has the usual 4 way. It looks like I need to modify the stop plate on the joystick to allow 8 way operation, but I also need an 8 way wear plate, which is a square rather than a...

Atari Tetris not saving high scores

When playing my tetris, if I get a high score I can enter my initials, but next time I turn the game on the high score table is reset. Is this a problem with the EEPROM, or does the EEPROM have to be reset? Thanks

Switching power supplies, loads and regulation.

I had an issue pop up recently on my multi game cabinet. I'm currently running a 60-in 1 and a BitKit in the cab using a RiddledTV 2-way jamma switcher. I fired it up the other day and all I got was a buzzing noise. I shut it down and popped open the back. Turned out the 12V relays on the jamma...

    Smart Plugs in the Arcade

I'm thinking of getting some smart plugs to use in the arcade to make it easier to turn games on and off. I would be using these in conjunction with Alexa. My main question is do these sometimes turn off or (most importantly) on by themselves? I had the old BSR X-10 setup from Radio Shack back...

Skeeball Model H with 100 point holes

With all of these skeeball threads it's got me wondering. I have an older model H game (with the green alley and back) and was wondering if it can be fitted with 100 point rings. Adding the holes and ramps with the switches should be easy (finding the parts might be fun) but the question is...

FIXED: Pole Position II boot issues

So I had been really getting into Pole Position II lately, playing it every day. One night when I turned it on the game came up OK except the colors were all wrong. It ran attract mode correctly and would coin up and play. I pulled the board set and set it up on the bench with a switcher for...

    FIXED gq-4x issue

I've been using a GQ-4X for years now with no issues. I am now working on a pole position II video board and wanted to check the EPROMS. For some reason, every EPROM I try to read shows BF in every location. I've tried different sizes and manufactures EPROMS and get the same reading on all. Has...

    Shipping TBD

Not a big fan of companies that won't tell you the shipping charge until they send it. There is no excuse for not calculating shipping when you check out. The only reason I can think of is this way they can charge you $31.66 shipping on a $43.87 order. If they showed the shipping cost at...

    GORF troubles

I'm finally getting around to getting my GORF working. You would think with my avatar this game would ALWAYS be working, but sadly that's not the case. It's been quite a while, and I'll even throw in the old 'it worked last time I tried it'. Anyway, I've repainted the cabinet, rebuilt the power...

    GORF power supply

I'm working on a GORF power supply board (90411) and need to replace the 1N3235B zener diode. I can not find any reference to this part number to either get a direct replacement or even a cross reference number. Anyone know an equivalent diode to use? Many thanks Don

    Rant: Companies not answering emails

So what's with companies that can't or won't answer emails about their products. I'm trying to get some Christmas projects done, and need a BitKit and Jamma harness. Mike's Arcade (yes, I know they had a fire and lost a lot of inventory) says to contact them about their jamma harness. Use the...

    Factory default settings

I did a quick search and didn't come up with much. Is there any document or site that shows what the default dip switch settings were for arcade games. I know some manuals have asterisks showing the factory default, but most don't.
