  1. Bally MCR FPGA

Hello. I know it has been six years since my first post about this .... and I completely suck for not keeping people updated. This is still proceeding ... it is going to happen ... hopefully by the end of the year. A friend and I dragged this out of mothballs and are back at work on it (and...
  2. What did this cab used to be?

I actually have a dismantled Astron Belt cabinet I hope to get to someday. While the game is "meh" at best, I'll never forget the first time I saw it many moons ago :-).
  3. Quantum cab on CL

Looks like someone bought it ... ad was yanked.
  4. SOLD - PARTS Sold -Irritating Maze - Rare Neo Geo MVS Cart, Trackball, and Marquee! $250 OBO

Crap. How did I miss this. I have a perfect cabinet to use for this game too ... grrrrrr :-). (it's basically a stripped Quartet cabinet)
  5. **Update** Buying a new house with machines in it.

If anyone ever expresses any jealousy, explain to them that medical school is hard (I see that you're a physician). If you're in your 30s, you're probably just making real cash for the first time in your life seeing that med school also takes a long time to complete and becoming a doctor...
  6. Paperboy Bubble?

Just curious ... what would be so difficult about reproducing the handlebars at a "reasonable" cost ... it seems like a lot of the assembly could be cut by a plasma cutter or water jet ... would the welding be the problem from there? In a pinch, you could use a Star Wars yoke you know :-) ...
  7. POLL How Many of You Have Been Here Since RVGAC ?

Wow. I first went onto RGVAC around this time in 1996. I can't believe it's been 20 years! That's almost 80 years!!! My first game was a beat to death Journey that I got for free from a close friend of mine. She called me up and asked me if I wanted it (her friend was throwing it away)...
  8. Indy 800 FPGA implementation

I promise you will see the MCR FPGA working this year ... I was talking with a good KLOVer friend who is really counting on me getting at least Journey up and running very soon (I owe him too for giving me some great deals on stuff I needed). I also got pinged by a friend of a friend that needs...
  9. Indy 800 FPGA implementation

Good job! Did you design this using an HDL or did you copy the schematics via a schematic entry tool in ISE or Quartus?
  10. What will be the last surviving cabinet?

Polybius. It'll turn out that it was actually real and will be used to brainwash millions of species across the universe.
  11. FS Parts: Sega Turbo Board Set

I'll take this. Let me know where to send the cash.
  12. SOLD - PARTS Williams back cabinet handle and screws

I'll take it. Either invoice me [email protected] or send me your PayPal address.
  13. Worst PCB you managed to get working anyway

I, Robot! Someone had to have hooked up power the wrong way ... After replacing 20+ dead ICs (4 or 5 were bipolar PROMs) I had the boards functioning fine, but with goofy color. Still have to fix the goofy color though :-). Worst board I ever fixed out of 100 or so over the years.
  14. The BIG Zaxxon Score

That's good, but bitch mittens cracks me up :-). If you haven't scraped, with your bare hands, fossilized crap from the bowels of an arcade cabinet you own that sat in a stanky warehouse for decades, your collection is missing something big! :-). Also, the hand sanitizer didn't do squat to...
  15. The BIG Zaxxon Score

"Bitch mittens" ... I'm going to have to steal that one :-)
  16. Something REALLY cool on Dallas craigslist

Actually, hack saw half the sides off the cockpit, throw away the canopy, get some glue, 2x4s, bolts and hinges and you can make a bed/recliner out of the cockpit SW. Plus you could take a sledgehammer to the 25" crummy tube in there and fire in one of those Black Friday 720p TVs people try...
  17. Was there really a time when Capcom Bowling was so popular that...

Fred Rogers was the exact same way in real life as he was on his television show FWIW. There was absolutely nothing fake about the man. He was quite easy to run into here in the Pittsburgh area. He'd always make time for any fan that simply said hi to him. I'm not one for hero worship of TV...
  18. Berzerk panels - Interest check.

I'll be in for one. I think I PMed you about rescreening one of your originals I had that I stored poorly :-).
  19. FS Game: 18 arcade games for sale

That Star Trek was an Asteroids conversion ... They're easy to find. The guy that bought them was marketing it as a dedicated Star Trek and continued to do so even after being told by 5 different people that it wasn't. Trust me, if you want a Trek, wait until a dedicated upright comes around...
