  1. Picked up a new machine yesterday

Dude, don't shoot the messenger. I was just telling you what you have. If you purchased the machine knowing it was a reproduction and paid what a reproduction is worth then good for you. If you paid more than what it is worth and are still happy with the purchase then good for you. If you...
  2. Picked up a new machine yesterday

That sticker is a common thing the people who make the fakes use to try to convince folks that the machine has a lot of original parts. The fact that it has plastic slides confirms to me that it is probably 100% reproduction. There are people in Colorado (I am not one of them) and Wisconsin who...
  3. Picked up a new machine yesterday

I assume you know that your Golden Nugget is probably 100% reproduction. Nothing wrong with that as long as it was not represented as anything else and you paid appropriately.
  4. Picked up a new machine yesterday

I know a guy who has a basement full of parts. Mainly Mills. I talked to him a few months ago and he said he was thinking of selling everything (including his slot collection). You are probably looking at $20,000 (he has a LOT of stuff) for just the parts and he said he wants to sell the parts...

  7. Video of Twilight Zone "Lost in the Zone"

This has probably already been done, but in case it hasn't I have a YouTube video of the bonus round, "Lost in the Zone", of a Bally Twilight Zone pinball machine. I also have several videos of different types of antique slot machines. To see the videos, go to IBuyOldSlots Video The...
  8. Slot machine manual

The mechanism to the Aristocrat is almost idenitcal to that of the Mills Hightop. If you can find the Mills Pictorial Guide (I think Mead has them) then you should be all set. Good luck.
  9. Gibson Girl Slot Machine sells for $187,000

A "Gibson Girl" upright slot machine sold this weekend at the Victorian Casino Antique Auction for $170,000. After you add the 10% buyer's premium in ($17K) that comes to $187,000. If the buyer has to pay sales tax, then the total price comes close to $200,000. The Online Antique Slot Machine...
  10. Need some tech help with my IGT slot

    1. If the machine has a battery on the mother board then test it and replace it if it is dead. 2. Try pulling the prom out of the mother board and putting it back in. 3. If that does not work try reseating all the connectors. If none of the above works then I'll bet your motherboard is toast.
  11. Haywire slot doesn't reset when door is closed

Re: Haywire slot doesn\'t reset when door is closed There should be a switch the door activates when it closes. On Bally machines the switch is inside the bottom hinge. I think HayWire is an IGT machine and I am not sure where that switch is. If you need more help, try posting a message at...
  12. Help restoring an antique slot machine

I don't think you will be able to get any original parts from Royal Bell. Just reproductions. There are a few people around the country who have original parts. Some of them can be found at www.CoinOpCollectorForum.com (which I admin). Thanks & good luck Dave
  13. Need help fixing a Mills 1903 Brownie slot machine

  14. Funny Reels on old Mills HiTop

Actually, when 3 bars are hit the machine pays 20 coins PLUS the jackpot. For whatever reason, they never bother to put the "+" on the award card. Jackpots for Slot machines of that era came in two varieties. One had the coins in the jackpot, other had the "guaranteed" jackpot which told people...
  15. Funny Reels on old Mills HiTop

Odds are the reason the handle is so hard to pull is the pump is all froze up. The pump is just to the left of the cash box and mounted to the base of the machine. The easiest way to verify this is to pull out the mechansim and see if the handle is still hard to pull. Since you indicated it...
