  1. I found one! A tube for a 19k7000!

I don't know what you mean by 'a tiger'.
  2. I found one! A tube for a 19k7000!

The donor is a Panasonic with a 29mm neck. I only have the smaller yoke that came with the k7000, but the yoke original to the Panasonic tube is playing nice with k7000.
  3. I found one! A tube for a 19k7000!

Yes, the cabinet is original but the CRT is came with was necked. I did find a recycling center that has been good to me, but they haven't had many CRTs come in this year. Marketplace has even fewer. They said that last year they have at least one a day come in. Now it's only once in a while...
  4. I found one! A tube for a 19k7000!

It turns out that my neck of the woods here is a CRT desert, but I finally found a tube that's compatible with the 19 inch k7000. Unfortunately it's a 20 inch so I don't know if it will fit the frame that the 80s Williams cabinets used. Any advice on how to mount a CRT that won't fit into the...
  5. 25k7000 blowing voltage regulator, HOT, and R103 but not fuse

If you suspect the flyback the just remove it for a test, or use Mike's lightbulb test procedure to isolate the problem to high voltage or regulated voltage.
  6. Pole Position cockpit restoration

How much does powder coating cost in your neck of the woods? It's prohibitively expensive here in Kelowna.
  7. Picked up a donor 19 inch and it's blowing fuses.

Yha, it's in my recycling pile now.
  8. Picked up a donor 19 inch and it's blowing fuses.

I confident the problem is internal to the tube. I posted to see if anyone had ever come across something similar.
  9. Picked up a donor 19 inch and it's blowing fuses.

Yoke checks out as in it is reading as expected inductance ranges for a 19 inch tube. 3.3mH on the horizontal coil and 26mH on the vertical coil. I am issuing an isolation transformer. I did check the power supply section of the board and everything is measuring as expected. No damage done...
  10. Picked up a donor 19 inch and it's blowing fuses.

I refuse to convert to LCD. Tube swapping will continue until morale improves.
  11. Picked up a donor 19 inch and it's blowing fuses.

The yoke checks out and the tube does not exist in Tubular, only the shortened version of the model number without the 19.
  12. Picked up a donor 19 inch and it's blowing fuses.

So I managed to find a 19 Inch commercial tv with a promising yoke reading to swap into the 19k7000 I've been trying to match up to a CRT. It's an Orion tube from a Sansui branded TV. I hooked it all up and it lit up the fuse for a moment and then burned it open. It's the strangest thing. I...
  13. K7000 sanity check

Yep, horrible luck. I hear that the 25k7000 are really easy to find a donor for. They are very forgiving. The 19k7000 is not so forgiving.
  14. K7000 sanity check

Red and Blue are the standard color combination for horizontal. Yellow and green are the standard color combination for vertical. The horizontal pins should be the ones closer to the neck and the vertical pins are the ones closer to the front of the tube. Reversing red and blue, or yellow and...
  15. WTB: Dungeons & Dragons

I thought Knights of the Round was a Mystara game.
  16. WTB: Dungeons & Dragons

I misremembered. There is Tower of Doom and then Shadow over Mystara. For some reason I thought Knights of the Round was a Mystara game too. Silly me.
  17. Ms Pac CRT

If I were in your shoes my next step would be to modify one of the adapters that came with the 445 tester and create a universal connector by attaching clip leads to it. It's really easy to find pin out diagrams so it should be easy for a DIY'er. It does sound like you have a gun shorted to...
  18. WTB: Dungeons & Dragons

Do you mean the Tower of Doom game, or one of the three Mystara games?
  19. What was the original price of a WG k7000?

2006, as far as I can tell.
