    Converted Journey?

I bought a converted Journey cabinet on Ebay for $38.50 final bid. It had been very badly converted to a Tetris but I recognized the cabinet instantly. I drove 1.5 hours each way to get it. I restored it cosmetically, and put a PC running MAME and boots up into Journey. It works great.

    Anyone Seen This Before?

I played one at Target years ago. They joysticks actually caused pain in my hands during gameplay, especially on Robotron. Absolute junk!!!

    Track and Field Cab Restoration

I had a T&F that was a crappy MK2 conversion when I got it. I restored it cosmetically, and used a MAME setup to play just the RUN&JUMP games like T&F, Hypersports, etc. Ended up really nice, and with minimal investment...

Save an Atari cab, or replace it?

If you are talking about that Asteroids cabinet I sold you, I believe it was pretty solid structurally, and had zero to very minimal water damage if any at all. The biggest thing was that chunk on the side that I started to bondo. I suggest you finish bondoing that spot, and any other spots...

    Opinions on VectorVGA converter

Just Do it!!! Get the VGA Vector converter. You will have a working game, and you can give us some reviews and opinions about it. It's a shame about your broken monitor, but if you cannot afford to fix it, then go with a practical (meaning less expensive) solution if you really care about...

I am installing one in a generic JAMMA cabinet this weekend. Plus I am planning to make a MW panel so I can swap it out for my Robotron panel. You are welcome to come over and try it when I get it fired up.

    Mounting decased monitors advice

Nice!!! Can you post some more pics of the details? Or a brief description on how you did it? I am always looking for ways to mount PC monitors in cabinets. I did something similar with a 19" PC monitor using a discarded monitor frame from an Electrohome G07...
