    Wow, that's ugly as fuck. I like to at least make an attempt to clean things up and make the repair cosmetically appealing. Epoxy would have helped here.

    I just use like-for-like materials when I restore games. I don't go around replacing MDF with plywood or patching plywood with particleboard, etc.
