Looks like you have it in the right port based on the picture though.

What kind of monitor are you using, and also, make sure you have the VGA plugged into the right port on the board, there is an input and output.

SOLD - PARTS Needhams EMP-11, UV eraser & laptop - a complete eprom solution $200 SHIPPED US

GLWS! This is a great EPROM burner. For anyone that has ever had any issue burning ROMs with the GQ-4x4, in this little guys world, they do not exist. It will burn even the most problematic and finicky EPROMs in my experience. I use mine with an old IBM PS/2 P70 briefcase machine. Works great!

Yes sir, sounds good. Good luck! I would try the barrel plug before I changed the wiring.

You can also use any AC adapter that has a round barrel plug type end, just as long as it outputs 5-12v dc and the center contact is the postive.

Good work. Its hard to tell by the photos what stage in the project they were taken at, but I don't see the red power LED on the converter board. It has to be powered in order to pass the signal. It should have come with a little two wire connector with a red and black wire. The red goes to 5-12...

M.I.A. - 1988 Data East "Bloody Wolf" Lost Prototype Archival Thread

According to this photo, it looks like E4 is where "BACKMAP" is and H1 is "DATA" I will verify when I get home. As far as credit goes, I did all of the dumping and emulating. @Mann of Wor did the physical testing with the PCB on the test bench but did not pull any ROMS.

M.I.A. - 1988 Data East "Bloody Wolf" Lost Prototype Archival Thread

This thread will contain all the information I and any others find on the newly discovered prototype/variation of Data East's 1988 arcade game "Bloody Wolf." I thought it would be good to make an archival type post for it to keep all of its documentation organized and not at the tail end of the...

    M.I.A. Bloody Wolf Variant

All right... So I was able to dump the ROMs for this game and here is what I found. M.I.A. PCB has 12 ROMs populated, Bloody Wolf only uses 10. The two additional ROMs are labeled "BACKMAP" and "DATA." Of the 10 ROMs that are comparable, M.I.A. has 3 that have different checksums. The three...

    GAME ID

What a steaming turd of a game that looks to be based on gameplay. No wonder they turned it into a shooter. Too bad because it was released just a few months after Mortal Kombat II and the digitized graphics and animation actually look pretty technologically advanced in comparison.

If you post some pictures in this thread, one of us can help identify what kind of CRT and chassis you have, and help evaluate if the process of doing a rebuild is easy/worth it, as well as sourcing the parts and tools necessary.

Honestly, depending on what tools you have/will have to buy to do either, it may be easier to rebuild the monitor chassis. However, You do not need to modify the original wiring in any way to put an LCD in your game. The hardest part will be building/modifying brackets to get a LCD to mount...
