    Sawtooth on data bus

I have a RAM failing the memory test on an Outrun project and hit a wall so I thought I'd throw what I'm seeing out here in case anyone has some ideas. Below is what I am seeing. The red trace is one of the data lines on the shared data bus between 2 EPROM, 2 RAM, and at least 3 bus...

Horizontal hold on Kortec in Stargate

Yeah, it probably doesn't belong in there, but I'm short a monitor, and it and it fits. (although I had to remove the slide-out platform for it to line up with the bezel) It's just temporary until I have a replacement monitor for my PP. So, it works... mostly. Took me a while to dial it in...

Can anyone confirm this monitor from an OutRun?

Does anyone recognize this chassis or can tell me where the part number might be? I can only find a serial number. From my searches it is probably a Nanao MS7-?? but I want to confirm before I try to find a cap kit.

    Pole Position Cockpit Refurb

Labor Day weekend, I found this empty PP cockpit (with pedals and CP) for $80 down in Cinci, so made a road trip to pick it up and hang out with some old friends for the night. I was really surpried how geeked my daughter was over this....I was not suprised how much my wife was not, but she...

    PP Cockpit T-Molding

I picked up an project PP Cockpit and it has both the leather grained and smooth T-molding. Does anyone know which was original on these cabinets?

FB - 3rd Party Asterpede Deluxe?

Or Centiroids, but that sounds like a medical condition. The cabinet looks in good shape, despite the identity crisis... https://www.facebook.com/share/1DEXprn9KB/

SOLD - GAME Midway Space Invaders (Upright) SE Michigan, 48307 $400

Fully working and plays as it should. Recently fixed problems with power supply, monitor, and main board. Over the past 6–8 weeks, it has been periodically powered on and run for extended periods to ensure no remaining issues. Condition: - Cabinet is structurally solid, though I would...

    Moving PP cockpit advice

Hi, I found an empty PP cockpit about 4 hours away from me. I'm thinking about borrowing a full size truck, but dont want to get there and not be able to take it home for some stupid reason. I am reasonably sure it will fit in the bed of a full size truck (like F150) how hard would it be to...

    Light Outrun Restoration

Found this project on FB listed for $900. I sent them a few KLOV sales thread showing these can go for $700-$800 in working order and offered $400. A week later asked if I wanted to come pick it up, so I did. This is going to be more mechanical work than my first 4 projects. In retrospect, I...

    WTF just happened?

Things were going great with my SI revival right up until I shit the bed by turning it on without a starter for the black light... screen was black, sounds going haywire, so I shut it down, and noticed the spot killer didnt kick in... weird. So I remove the bulb, turned it back on same...

Repairing SI Monitor: On bench vs. in-cabinet? (WG19v1001)

I just finished bringing back an SI board that I took from a trashed cabinet and starting on the monitor. I will be putting this board and monitor in an empty cab I found in decent shape for $75. (Franken-vaders?) I have been working with things out on my bench but not sure this is really...

    Space Invaders processor in reset

I started debugging an SI board today. There is a staric image of garbage on the screen. The Midway troublehooting guide suggested looking at RAM. I saw RAM was working but the WE pin is dead. Tracing back to the micro, I see it is being held is reset. I was trying to trace back to what...

WTB: The Millipede cab in Michigan that was stolen before I could steal it!

I missed this steal by a few hours the other day... 😭 If by chance, it was anyone in these circles that snatched it but doesn't have an immediate need for it (or just wanted the tube), I'd try to make a reasonable offer.

EMI filter on Space Invaders transformer

I pulled a transformer from a junked Space Invaders to use on my bench and noticed this.. The ground wire is only attached on the power cord and the ground on the transformer is not connected to anything.... Is this thing really needed? I dont see one on my SI or Sea Wolf.

Acceptable ESR for large PS filter caps?

I'm going over 2 Midway power supplies and the ESR of the filter caps (1000-18,000 uF) are all in the 300-400 mohm. I've seen more than once in threads not to worry about replacing the large caps, but was wondering if there was a threshold where they should be replaced.

    Adjust height of Stargate monitor?

The G07 that I pit in my Stargate sits low and the bezel cuts off an inch or so of the visible screen. Does anyone know if there is a simple adjustment for this? Or do I need to put the chassis on standoffs on the shelf? Thanks!

    Considering PP deconversion

Found a PP converted to 1000 Mile Relay for $350. It plays blind but the cab looks in decent shape. I've been wanting a PP2 and thought about deconverting it. This project sounds fun, but dont want to be too far upside down when i am done. Anyone have any thoughts on if I'd have way more into...

Found or No Longer Wanted WTB: Anode lead assembly for 19V2000

Looking for an anode lead assembly for my AD 19V2000. I'll take the whole thing (anode cup, wire, boot, spring, etc.), but I really only need the end that connects to the diode. When I removed the diode to clean up the connections on my AD, the spring disintegrated and the small metal cup that...

Stargate RAM Errors - Is RAM IC temp any indicator?

My Stargate was working pretty reliably and now it's not... I'm going through the normal process of checking board voltages. Everything seems ok, although the 5V rail is around 5.6V which is a little high, but at least the 74xxxx ICs handle up to 7V. (Haven't dug into the RAM absolute max...
