Pac-Man cabaret with a Happ switcher (Blowing fuses)

Hey guys, So I’ve had my Pac-Man cabaret for several years now and it’s working fine. When I bought it, the previous owner had lights in the coin door which I know isn’t OEM. It was running stock. When I restored it, I also changed the fuse blocks. I decided to install a Happ switcher with...

    Gorf/WOW/Space Zap/Roto sound amp tantalums!

Hey guys, While cruising around KLOV the other night, I was reading @Charles Kline's thread about replacing the exploding 15uf 25v tantalum caps with 22uf 50v axial caps. For grins, I decided to check my WOW and Gorf sound amps and sure enough they still had tants installed. Two on WOW, and...

Cap kits - Store them or order ad-hoc?

I decided to get an organized storage bin for caps and other misc parts. What are your thoughts on ordering parts to keep on hand…enough to basically be able to have cap kits for multiple monitors. It would be nice to just have the parts when you need them, but if the parts sit for years, is...

More than one room for games

How many of you have games packed into more than one room. 1 dedicated space? Or scattered about? I have games in two rooms of my house. Jason

    Storing monitors

When you store monitors in a garage that fluctuates in temperature throughout the year, do you leave the chassis connected, or do you remove them, box them up, and store them indoors? Thanks, Jason

    Mario Bros intro screen…blooming issue?

Hey guys, Minor issue here (maybe?), but for the Mario Bros owners out there, could you take a look at your attract mode screen where Mario and Luigi punch the “Mario Bros” box above them? As they run off the screen, look at the lower right hand part of the screen. Does Nintendo of America...

Found or No Longer Wanted FOUND: Coin Mech part needed

Hi all, Would anyone happen to have the little lever piece on a Coin Mech Inc. mech that accepts quarters? The two that I have don't work, and think it's because these have the little levers that accept tokens or maybe Canadian quarters. I've compared the mechs with working ones, and the...

    Mario Bros (Widebody vs. Non-Widebody)

Does a Mario Bros. non-Widebody feel like an “almost there” Mario Bros. to anybody? I know the game is the same in either cabinet, but if you have the non-widebody, would you still be in pursuit of a widebody? I played a non-widebody with my son the other the other day, and it just didn’t feel...

    Venture/Bandido/Targ/Spectar stick (Belleville washer replacements)

To all of the Venture, Bandido, Targ, Spectar owners out there. Has anybody out there ever replaced the Belleville springs/washers in the joystick? If somebody has, can you reply with the source and link to the correct springs? Strangely, the Venture manual online doesn’t show any of the...

    Does this really happen?

Who really does this? Imagine 2 half drunk guys with arcade body type standing at this ridiculous thing trying to execute special moves on this control panel. Wouldn’t it just break in half? And trying to look at that piss ant size screen? I’ve seen rooms with several of these on YouTube and...

    WICO Coin Bucket lid

Hey guys, Does anybody have a coin bucket lid that lined up with the coin chutes on a WICO Centuri coin door? I swapped out a Coinco coin door and then discovered that the coin chutes are off a bit on the coin bucket lid. Thanks, Jason

    Taito Phoenix Trimline - legit?

Hey guys, I found this photo online and was wondering if it was homegrown or if Taito actually made this. I’ve seen the Centuri version of Phoenix in a mini, but never anything from Taito. Looks legit to me. Thoughts? Thanks, Jason

    Track & Field cocktail pain

Hey guys, How many of you guys have serviced a monitor on a T&F cocktail? I bought and restored mine roughly 2 years ago, but the one thing I didn’t touch was the monitor. It looked pretty good, so I decided to leave it alone, but the God honest truth was that it looked horrible to take out...

Fellow Warlorders with a 14” Sanyo EZZ…cap location question

For some reason my board did not have a cap in C202. APAR’s instructions call for a 220UF @ 50v cap there on the 20EZ and in the manual for the 14" it calls for it as well. Also, APR’s instructions call for a 100UF @ 50v cap at C201. Is this just for the 19" 20EZ? Or does this apply to the...

The Ark of the Covenant has been found

Never thought I'd find one in my lifetime. It's all there…it will be as perfect as I can make it. So far, a refreshed AR2 from andrewb, the power plant looks minty fresh and tests out great. The monitor is a Sanyo 14" with light burn. It's been torn down, and the chassis and tube have been...
