    Resistor wattage question

Does it have a parts list with the schematics? They look like they might be 1/2W. You can always go higher in Watts if they will fit. R820 looks like a 1/4W and the other one looks larger.

Electrohome g07 Horizontal Width Coil cracked but functioning. Should I replace Immediately?

I would replace it. If for some reason it broke more, the coil could short something out. They are cheap and fairly easy to replace.

    What's this?

It should be safe with the power off. The cardboard is there to protect you from the monitor while it's powered on.

    What's this?

It doesn't look like your neck board is fully seated. With the power OFF, VERY CAREFULLY, from the CENTER of the Neck, push it further on. DO NOT push from the edges or you'll break the board and have a bigger issue to deal with. Fingers in the area that is circled in green. Don't put...

    How Do I Fix This?

Well, the first question would be WHY did they cut the Yoke wires. The Yoke might be bad and hooking it up a chassis could be bad.

    CRT workstation suggestions

EDIT: Missed Scuba's post ... DOH! This is what I use: https://www.bkprecision.com/products/component-testers/TR110 That is the new prices, I got one used for like $40. Those are nice because you can set the voltage so you can work on the Japanese monitors that run at 100V and the rest that...

Does recapping a monitor usually kill the flyback transformer?

The other issue you run into is if you swap the flyback with a modern replacement, the modern replacements have been known to fail quickly too. So unless the flyback is physically bad (holes, cracks, goo coming out, etc...) I stick with the originals until I cannot.

Does recapping a monitor usually kill the flyback transformer?

I've recapped many a G07 without swapping the flyback and they are still going strong to this day.
