Pinball won at auction ends up “in the dumpster?”

My friend and his mother were liquidating their grandfather/father's warehouse. He had been an op since the 40's. It was a massive place full of stuff. I had helped them previously with a very large sale. This last sale was the stuff they were holding onto and finally decided to sell including a...

Best place to purchase bulk arcade machines

This, we had about 30 arcade cabs in our office arcade where we would host book signings and other events. Most played games: Pac variants, Bubble Bobble, Pole Position, Super Mario, Dr Mario, TMNT, Simpsons... Like with a food menu, you have to give the people what they are looking for/want...

Best place to purchase bulk arcade machines

Keep in mind that in addition to the currency rates, auction fees, and freight charges you are going to have import duties so an auction setup like Captains is not going to be your best bet. You are going to be paying far more than the games are worth. Get involved in your local collecting...

Best place to purchase bulk arcade machines

What Mecha said. I am a former restaurant consultant turned small business consultant for independent artists. My old business partner and I spent a lot of time researching this idea way back in 2008. We were extremely close to opening a spot. You're not going to make money off of the games...

Side by Side Two Of The Same Game

My favorite two-fer. Big Taito SI nerd. I really miss my Taitos. One was purchased from a friend's family's warehouse and the second I drove 4 hours to the Bronx for. Made a super clean one and a not so clean one.

Name That Nintendo Side Art: Expert Level Edition

This was definitely only a dual monitor Nintendo cab. The wiring, etc all in tact. It just seems like it was something before the PC-10.

Name That Nintendo Side Art: Expert Level Edition

So last month I picked up a plywood, PC-10 arcade cabinet with the two piece glass bezel and a serial number in the 1500's. When I was removing the side art that came with die cuts for the carriage bolts I found this. I feel like Arm Wrestling was the only other Nintendo cab title to share...

The self-inflicted price explosion of KLOV

I too miss the days of $2500 HUO Monster Bash's, $400 Smash TV's and .05 bottles of coke. I mean 12 years ago ops were giving away 6 player x-men and destroying them. Now you could buy a fancy house in the suburbs for the costs of one. Free market principles. Supply and demand and way more...

Who are our best parts packers here?

I'm lucky because I own a small shipping company that ships tiny collectables, artwork, books, comic books so I pretty much have everything I need. IN all of the deals I have done here and elsewhere that stuffy pack job was by far the funniest. .

Who are our best parts packers here?

My fave packing job ever came from an op off of eBay. I bought a wide body lockdown bar for my SI pin and he used stuffed animals as the packing materiel. I had no idea WTF was going on when I opened it and just saw fur. I thought there was a dead squirrel in there.
