    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

Just to chime in on the fix it yourself chatter. I totally get it, why pay somebody for something you can do yourself. For a lot of us it comes down to time. As a small business owner, I have very little of it. Plus this is not my game. I love this community. I love all of the resources. I love...

    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

I did that the last time I was out there over the summer. As @Mattspad stated this more than likely has some bad chips and sockets. I took a look at Mike's page and saw a few things that resembled what they are experiencing, but I do not have the time to work on this for them. I barely have...

    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

Thanks. I am pretty sure I replaced the fuse blocks before I put it on site for them, but will definitely be checking the when I go back down to install the new PCB and grab the old one. The screen is pink, there is some logic issue occasionally with it where it will stop going left, and...

    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

It's definitely a PCB issue, and while the cost of a working PCB is cheap, my time to drive there and back every time something comes up with it is not. So my hope was to get the OG bullet proofed as a backup. This is an on site game that runs 8 hours a day and brings the customers a lot of joy...

    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

Hi Y'all, my friend has a Ms Pac cabaret on location in her cafe. The customers love the heck out of it and it is sort of the star attraction there, It has been running 5-6 days a week pretty solid for the last seven years, but has started to act up. The screen is pink, there is some logic issue...

Neo Geo 4 Slot PSU Question

I have some weird computer PS in mine and in my Z-Back that ops tossed in as replacements with some mods. I'll take pics when I am back at my office tomorrow.

SOLVED: Joust. Credits up but won't start a game.

Check continuity, and if you haven't jump the switch. That will tell you if it is a PCB or harness/switch issue.

VS PCB With Excitebike and SMB Displaying A White Screen-Both Monitors

Oh I have them. I am just an uncoordinated idiot. In college I once tripped over my own two feet catching a fly ball to CF and the reporter wrote about my "amazing acrobatic abilities and highlight reel catch".

VS PCB With Excitebike and SMB Displaying A White Screen-Both Monitors

Yeah, I have some schematics here, but more than likely a bit above my pay grade/brain capacity. At least we've narrowed it down to the PCB. First time ever seeing this in like 20 VS boards.

VS PCB With Excitebike and SMB Displaying A White Screen-Both Monitors

CPU's are fine. I swapped them out with other boards. And I would much rather play NES than DK any day. Now DK3 is another story.

VS PCB With Excitebike and SMB Displaying A White Screen-Both Monitors

Yeah, I may pull the SMB and re-install Excitebike on the slave side. I am just so damn terrible at pulling chips that I prefer not to if I don't have to. Given Excitebike worked on my other PCB I am leaning towards bad PCB. It's so odd. Another guy in my PC10 group is having a similar issue...

VS PCB With Excitebike and SMB Displaying A White Screen-Both Monitors

I swapped the Excitebike eproms over to my Dr Mario PCB and it fired right up. SMB board still showing white. Since SMB needs to be on the master side when populated with another game I won't be able to test it as this Dr Mario daughter card seems to be soldered in. I may remove SMB and reload...

VS PCB With Excitebike and SMB Displaying A White Screen-Both Monitors

Yes, definitely odd, but in all of my years collecting and all of the various Nintendo cabs that I have had this has yet to present as the cause of my woes.

VS PCB With Excitebike and SMB Displaying A White Screen-Both Monitors

Thanks! That a bit above my testing equipment and abilities. Going to try to verify both ROM sets independently on another PCB tomorrow and go from there.

VS PCB With Excitebike and SMB Displaying A White Screen-Both Monitors

I picked up an untested red tent in September that came with a VS PCB Loaded with SMB and Excitebike. Both monitors just show white. I swapped out the CPU’s with known working ones and no change. Other PCB’s run fine in the cab. I would lean towards bad ROM’s but would think at least one...

Tron Booting To Six Blue Square

Yeah, it's different when it's my own game. Another thing when it belongs to someone else. I think I am just going to source a new PCB and list this one for parts.
