  1. Status of JROK Multi JAMMA boards @ Arcadeshop

Thank you for the heads up that he's on the site (makes sense). They boards are being produced REALLY soon, so now for the harness from Golden Age.
  2. Status of JROK Multi JAMMA boards @ Arcadeshop

Cool thank you. The JRok website has an old and defunct email that got thrown back to me.
  3. Status of JROK Multi JAMMA boards @ Arcadeshop

Any other sources for this? They are already out.
  4. Defender Switcher/Switching PS and wiring harness

Heh, I need a JROK for my Berzerk game. Of course AFTER I find one, another pops up for less. 😂 Yeah I also like to switch to quick connectors when at all possible. It makes things so much easier. Though I never thought about adding Molex connectors. 👍
  5. Defender Switcher/Switching PS and wiring harness

The schematic will take a lot of scribbling and penciling in. Lol. I’m decent at wiring something up, “as is”/stock, but since they tore out the linear PS, I’m uncertain how to read it backwards and provide power to the switches/buttons appropriately. But I’ll take a good look at it. Lol I was...
  6. Defender Switcher/Switching PS and wiring harness

Hey everybody, I have a mess on my hands. I picked up a Defender game that I didn’t want to go to the junkyard. It’s a mess inside (I can supply pics if needed). They removed the linear PS and installed an Arcade Shop conversion board to the switching PS. The wiring from the CP and cook door are...
  7. Cruis'n USA with no sound FIXED

I did find the manual stuffed in the back of the machine. It looks like the driver board caps were replaced at some point. The values were changed. Some caps had 16v spec, but were 25v. The two main 10,000mf were amped up to 18k. So at least my initial concerns of being dried out were...
  8. Cruis'n USA with no sound FIXED

Thanks everyone. Technically there is currently no problem on this board. Seeing as the game is 25 years old, caps dry out, and don’t always show externally. A mouse lived in this game before I got it, and pissed over the game board. It played great before I bought and moved it, then had sound...
  9. Cruis'n USA with no sound FIXED

Does anyone have all the cap values on the this board? Also, is this the board the controls tbe steering wheel response? The best I can read is: C4,C5 are 35,000iu, 35v, radial? C9,C10 are 100iu, 40v axial? C1? C2/3/6/7 are not legible while soldered to the board. I do not see a C8… 🤔 I also...
  10. Smart Industries Toy Chest Crane Machine - Not Working (FIXED)

Yep, I had a claw machine that had an added cap to provide a load and keep the ps on.
  11. Missile Command 810K Bug and 255 Screen "chip fix"

I knew there had to be an EPROM programmer out there somewhere, but I've been out of the loop too long to remember or keep up with it. Thanks much!
  12. Missile Command 810K Bug and 255 Screen "chip fix"

The poor programmers, relegated to FF/255, not knowing someone would smash the game and go through all those screens, but also having programming restrictions to deal with. LOL kind of funny now...
  13. Missile Command 810K Bug and 255 Screen "chip fix"

My friend says "thank you!" he had a spare board set and swapped the EPROM. I think optimally he would like to get a new EPROM burned. Is there anyone that can copy EPROMS or sells these anymore? (and he'd ask himself, but is having an issue making username for some reason). Thanks again!
  14. Missile Command 810K Bug and 255 Screen "chip fix"

A friend has a Missile Command that has a modified boardset. There is/was a bug that would give you like 150 bases, if you hit 810,000 points. The arcade owners seemed to take offense to the chip and a replacement was made to remove the bug. It also fixed the 255 screen bug. Does anyone know...
  15. Ms Pac Man dead. Vram Addresser?

Riptor... Since the game did a reboot, am I better off looking over the traces to the RAM, or replacing the 4 chips, than looking to the color proms?
  16. Ms Pac Man dead. Vram Addresser?

ARGH! Ok it ran fine fine fine... Then I unplugged it and was playing another game, then I plugged it back in again, and here's what I see... The Ghosts are a bit Pastel in color, and of course the Red Devil Ms Pac-Man (which kinda looks cool). This is of course intermittent.
  17. Ms Pac Man dead. Vram Addresser?

Too funny. I just finished up reflowing the solder on the RAM chips. I also hit 8A and 8B while I was at it, from something I read about 8B on Lawnmowerman's site. For now it seems to work, but it was an intermittent problem. The only good thing I can say is that the problem usually crept up...
  18. Ms Pac Man dead. Vram Addresser?

Ok I know it's been a while, but I've got a semi-fix going. The game boots most of the time, but Ms Pac Man will turn complete Red in color. The ghosts then turn more of a pale color and their eyes are all albino in nature. Oh, even Ms Pac's bow is red, so she looks like a she-devil racing...
  19. Ms Pac Man dead. Vram Addresser?

Well hell, this should be interesting. It's something to do with a bad trace, or cold solder. But there are do damn many of them, I have no idea where to start. It also acted like the ribbon cable to the other board, as it reboots when I try to hold the main board side still, while flexing the...
  20. Ms Pac Man dead. Vram Addresser?

Thanks! I'll harass my friend's friend and procure his sync bus card and the Z80
