  1. Tube swapping a 25" wells gardener chassis/monitor combo.

The connectors didn't exactly match so I spliced on the old connector. I matched the colors and the order but I'll double check those
  2. Tube swapping a 25" wells gardener chassis/monitor combo.

It's recently recapped and was working prior to the short.
  3. Tube swapping a 25" wells gardener chassis/monitor combo.

So I have the new tube in, however all I'm getting is a blank white screen and it smells like burning in the chassis
  4. Tube swapping a 25" wells gardener chassis/monitor combo.

So Ive got the tube out of the TV, but the yoke connector definitely isn't the same. Is it ok if I splice on the old connector?

    Perfect thanks!
  6. K7000 static, but no neck glow after shorting.

Does this mean even at the traces coming off of the flyback?

Hmm alrighty Ill do the tube swap later tonight maybe and let you know how it goes. The meter I'm using is a fluke 107. Not quite a 117, but pretty solid

ok thanks, which value should that be? I lucked into a dropin replacement that was 20 minutes away from an old sanyo. Going to do that later today probably. As far as the 3.5v off the flyback... do you think that's the flyback itself or something in the line between the power source and the flyback?

Sorry just seeing this now. It's open as if I'm not touching anything at all. Nothing happens on the screen when I raise the voltage. Also no continuity on the heater pins.
  10. Tube swapping a 25" wells gardener chassis/monitor combo.

Sorry all I'll respond when I get a chance thanks for the ideas, I didn't think to try clearing the short. Wouldn't I at least have some sort of continuity on the heater pins though? I actually found a sanyo 25" near me I'm gonna go grab for free believe it or not that apparently is an exact...
  11. Tube swapping a 25" wells gardener chassis/monitor combo.

Looks like my heater is shorted on my WG 25" tube in my simpsons cab. I found a free 25" sanyo tv nearby that I'm considering grabbing to tube swap. How can I check compatibility?
  12. K7000 static, but no neck glow after shorting.

Nevermind getting 0 resistance across those pins :/.
  13. K7000 static, but no neck glow after shorting.

Checking resistance now. 3.5v is low right?
  14. K7000 static, but no neck glow after shorting.

Hey sorry so I've traced the path ac. starting at A it's 3.5v ac all the way to the heater pin.

Whoops missed this. C, d, and j are 0 Edit- yeah nevermind I set that to DC. Trying again.

Yes got 12 on r90. Is there a way to trace th voltage from th 3 resistors to the heater? I tried tracing it and got to a cap, after that th voltage numbers made no sense.
  17. K7000 static, but no neck glow after shorting.

I've looked at it pretty good, but I could possibly go over it again. My thing right now is I'm curious about tracing that voltage from the 3 resistors over to the heater pins.
  18. K7000 static, but no neck glow after shorting.

If it helps I'm losing voltage right before the heater pins but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing around that area. The first short I had was on the neck board itself so I'm hoping one of the pieces there is no good

Getting 12v at r56 now that I replaced the voltage regulator but still no neck glow. Also have 130v at those 3 points on the neck board.
