I have had a 4 in 1 Selector from Vector Labs for awhile. It works well for the advertised switching of games, but I can never play as the second player. This really stinks for Ice Climbers and Dr. Mario and also means I can't play as Luigi. I haven't had the time to work on any of my stuff in...
I have a VS Dr. Mario daughter card on the A side of a Nintendo Vs board. Connected to the board is a Vector Labs VS multi-switcher (so I can play the A side in a Unisystem machine).
The problem I'm having is that some of the sprites in Dr. Mario are not being displayed properly, but others...
I don't have any photos uploaded. All I did was put the decal on the bezel and then took a box cutter & traced the edges. It was easy enough and I don't have very steady hands.
Welcome from someone who not long ago got permission from his wife for this hobby! I find the restoration process alot of fun. The people on here have been pretty helpful and I've even had the opportunity to meet one in person and get some pointers. Most others on here have much more...
The RP2A04 is supposed to be on the "main" side for a unisystem setup, correct? Well, right now it's a RP2a03 because one was already on there. It may not be the "thing" that gets it working. It's just nice knowing there may be something I can do to salvage it.
Yeah. When it's something I...
I am once again learning through screwing up. Last night I was trying to move my VS. Super Mario Bros. chips from one VS. PCB to another. Some legs got bent in the process and I did my best to straighten them out. Now when I connect the PCB, there is a ringing that comes out of the speakers...

I put the sticker on the bezel and then a used a razor blade to cut around it. It didn't take too long. I'll take a picture of how it turned out when I'm home. I recently lost all of the pics on my phone otherwise I would have uploaded that too.

Phetishboy,
Sorry I did not give you credit. I have edited my original post. If you can't tell, what I did was influenced by you in that I used your border to know how big of an area the view port needed to be. I really do like how you matched the original and I was very close to printing it...
Since I've joined this forum, I've been trying to think of a way I can contribute. Having only one video arcade machine (VSSMB) and a Skee Ball machine I converted/restored, I'm not as fluent in this hobby as most of you. But maybe this will work as a contribution.
When I went to pick up my...
I have one of these and it's fairly nice. It's a good alternative to the original systems. I never knew that about the mega drive games. Gotta see if I have one laying around.
In attempting to swap out SMB for Hogan's Alley (I wanted to try the gun) I seem to have put the PPU in backwards, both times, frying both. It's really frustrating as it's my first arcade game and I have a Vector Labs VS selector coming in the mail.
So I'm looking for a VS Super Mario Bros...
