Ok, so I replaced that cap, and it has gotten a lot better, but its still there. Its so faint though, that you cant even tell unless you're looking for it, so im okay with leaving it be. Thanks for all the help guys! Much appreciated.

I would say add around 4-5 more inches of length to the bottom, for safetys sake. That CP is long. However, I dont know if generally the CPO is supposed to stretch all the way down to the hinge as it is the underside and no one ever sees it. You might want to check with a Centipede enthusiast...
