Freeze spray, or component cooler can be useful in finding problems that get worse over time. The
HV diode often shows this (the blooming gets worse as it warms up), so the cooler can narrow it down very quickly...
if the guy had never opened it, then he made a foolish mistake.
first thing I do when I get a cab is open it.
1: to see what it needs to fix it &
2: to see what cool treasures I might find hiding inside.
sometimes you buy a cab, pay the money for said cab in AS-IS condition
& you get...

without pics. & with the info. given,
I think it might be a wells gardner 7000 series.
I'm sure Ken or Mod or even Dokert will chime in & give us the exact
monitor number very soon.
I don't know about the ones from bob, but I used the ones I listed above
in my ad cabaret & they are fantastic.
