I have read various posts regarding the high scores on Pole Position I. I would like to give you more info on them.
The two high scores were made on MY sit-down PP game.
I can confirm that the two high scores were seen by myself on the game. No video taping was being done in 1983 and 1984...
I, Mike and Les were at the show. I refereed the tournament for the entire 6 hours.
One machine was on factory settings and didn't break down but was useless for the tournament. It was too slow.We had no access to change the settings.

I was the owner of the games. They were factory games purchased from an authorized distributor. There were NO modificatons of any kind. As a huge supporter of Walter Day and the Twin Galaxies scoreboard (and its accuracy) at the time I would never even consider doing any cheating. Rest assured...
It was set on July 1, 1984, confirmed by me, Mike and Les and reported to Walter Day by phone within minutes of it happening). TG has steadfastly refused to fix this. We were all there when it happened (and on my game). I did not own any games in 1985 or 1986. Hopefully someday TG will fix this...
