Hello I am trying to rebuild an Exidy Pepper II, an one have any good advice?

I have an Asteroids Deluxe that has a serious Video problem. I know that the game is set up on an X-Y Grid, and the top 2 grids are missing, it seems as if they have collapsed. Any one ever had this problem, or know anything about it? Thanks!
