ahhhh yeah. It didn't seem to help much. Still bad 5v levels. I'm pretty certain now it is the corrosion. Having taken the board out and really traced the damage it was quite bad. I don't mind shelling out for the newer better power supply if it is meant to be a long term fix as well. Perhaps...
