I have a Stargate machine that has power issues. First I got intermittent errors on startup, then it went dead completely. I opened it up and when powered on, only 2 of the 3 LEDs on the PS were on. I turned it off, checked the connections, and when I turned it on again now none of the LED's...
With a toddler in the house I now need to replace the missing lock on the coin door of my Stargate machine. I figure this must me a pretty common part. Can someone point me to a website (or a local place in Los Angeles) that sells these? Thanks.
I'm pretty confident it will work... but I'm just so afraid to try. Losing the scores would really suck. Stargate holds the top 100 so its really a lot scores up there.
Come on, Williams people... someone give it a try for me!
This is a G07 for sale that was in my Stargate machine. Fuse F901 is blown and I didn't investigate further, I just bought a new monitor. This is a good monitor if someone wants to re-cap it, it made a perfect picture before it went out. It does have some burn-in from when it was in a Joust...
The 3 AA cells on my Stargate are getting to be several years old and I'd like to change them before they give out and years of high scores get lost. Is there any trick to changing them and not losing the scores while they are being swapped? Will leaving the game powered on during the battery...
Just replaced my Stargate monitor with a new Betson. How much do I really have to worry about screen burn-in? Should I keep the brightness/contrast a bit lower to prevent it? Or is it really not an issue at all for a home machine? The game is really only on when its being played, it isn't...
OK, you've sold me. Now what do I do with the new monitor's ground wire that the monitor power line from the cabinet's power supply doesn't have? The monitor chassis itself is grounded to the main ground wire that runs through the machine, is that good enough so can I just ignore the extra...
Yes, it does unfortunately have some burn from its past incarnation as a a Joust machine (I had it in a Stargate). This flash photo actually makes it look MUCH worse than it really is, I would say when I had it in the machine I could see the burn a little only when the monitor was off. When it...
I just replaced my G07 with a new Betson monitor. The G07 has a blown F901 fuse, I didn't investigate beyond that. Is the unit still worth anything (I know not much) if I put it up on ebay or craigslist? I hate to throw it out when someone could recap it and restore it.
Just got a new Betson 19" monitor for my Stargate machine. It comes with a standard 3-prong power plug that can detach at a middle connector so that the monitor can instead be connected to the machine's internal power supply plug.
My question is, would removing the monitor from the game's...
