  • I should also add that I've seen those ghost bars on K7000's with the original flyback installed. I put the original flyback back in my K7000 and you can still faintly see the bars, but when you put in a new flyback it gets much more visible. I've replaced every capacitor on my K7000, even the non electrolytic caps and nothing fixes it completely. I heard that those lines come and go depending on the physical location of the monitor. I live in an apartment so I can't really move my machine around to test that theory though.
Here's what I've concluded with the K7000 ghost bars on the left side of the screen... It seems that the replacement flybacks that are available today are designed to work for the later model k7000 chassis, the one with the control board similar to the K7400,U2000,U5000 etc. The K7000's that I have has the control pots mounted to the deflection board, or have them on that long PCB with the large style pots. Either of these K7000's will get the ghost bars when installing a modern replacement flyback. If you want to get rid of those bars then look for a K7000 with the compact square control pcb. I forgot which model it is but here's a link to a picture of one so you can see what the control pcb looks like. http://s122.photobucket.com/user/maxstang289/media/ebaynew023.jpg.html
