I wound up picking the Elcon up when it was marked down to $30. Surprisingly complete, but the cabinet is pretty nasty. The particle board sections are peeling away like a banana peel, lol.
I picked up a side panel from a Chicago Coin Motorcycle cabinet a few weeks ago (mainly because I like the sideart) and have an idea of reconstructing the rest of the cabinet. This won't be a restoration per se (given that I have only a single part, lol), but I would like for it to be sized...
Looking for Taito Return of the Invaders artwork, particularly the marquee. I don't see any good scans of these, though it looks like there was a marquee, sideart, and possibly a CPO.
Thank you for the quick reply! For the loose core, would it be best to remove the core entirely (using a heat gun to loosen the metal piece holding the halves together)? Also, any recommendations on what glue/epoxy to use to put it back in?

I have a Taito Big Event Golf cabinet which plays blind and I'm a bit stuck on how to fix it. The Hantarex monitor has no neck glow and closer inspection showed some issues with the Eygo 1620 chassis (a leaking capacitor, broken fuse holder, and a flyback which is questionable due to the center...
Looks great! I would have had a hard time building it as anything other than a PacMan, but I gotta admit that Galaxian artwork looks pretty dang good.

As for the topic at hand, I would prefer to see those functioning as 60 in 1's rather than languishing as-is. Ultimately, it's not the ideal option, but neither was them being gutted in the first place. ;)
