I had a similar cmos problem with my mk2 board. I went through the usual set of checks but it seems leaving the cab on for a few minutes did the trick. http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=261355

Got the new IC today. Replaced the old one with it. Needless to say it made no difference. Same loud humming or buzzing still there. Think I'm going to have to call time on this sound board.

Thanks brood. Can pick up one of those amps for under the equivalent of ten dollars shipped. I'm not confident that it will fix my problem but ill give it a go anyway. Call it a day after that and look for a replacement sound board.

Tried grounding pin 3 on p6. No difference. Looking at the underside of p6 on the sound board, both pins 3 and the keyed one beside it don't seem to go anywhere. No traces etc. Not even to ground. Audio amp time?

Just to confirm guys. Pin 3 on p6 on my sound board is blank. No pin there. The cable I received has that pin blanked on the Molex connector as well. That sound right?
