    Rowe AMI R-82 Memory Unit

Still waiting on those transistors to arrive. And to think I made certain to buy from a US seller but there from Oregon with Free & Fast shipping but no tracking. Anyway, in the meanwhile I took the Credit Computer unit out. It has a pair of twin Sprague 35uf 50vdc electrolytic caps and both had...

    Rowe AMI R-82 Memory Unit

I re-soldered the headers all though that was done in the resent past. I am not seen where to find the Service Bulletins for this era. The early AMI and anything from R-84 and on are readily available. I did order 10 pairs of MPSA06 + MPSA56 as a refresh measure for this Memory Unit...

This is the Memory Unit you can't play a record with out it. Its located under the Encoder. The Encoder is just below the turn table.

    Rowe AMI R-82 Memory Unit

I picked up non-working R-82. This is my latest observation. These selections were made in secession one after the other after each record had been returned and magazine returned to home position. It seems to show a warmup of weak circuitry. Any information regarding component level repairs on...

@omegaman, I hope you're still checking in from time to time. I picked up non-working R-82. This is my latest observation. These selections were made in secession one after the other after each record had been returned and magazine returned to home position. It seems to show a warmup of...

    AMi F Returns Record

I am trying to help a buddy out who's F puts the record on the platter, sets the needle down and immediately picks back up and then returns the record. Is the cutoff contact messed up somehow or can this also be caused by one of camshaft contacts?

    Ron Rich and jukeboxaddicts forum

I assumed there was a plan to keep it going afterword's. I assumed jukenorman would take over or something/ someone like that. I'm feeling very disconnected with out Ron. God bless him.

    Original Space Invaders RAM

The sounds are fully working now after changing out the 4006 chip. Adjusting Vert Linearity 1 & 2. These adjustments seemed to effect the overall screen more so than just the edge of the screen which is what I was really looking for. Part of my image is cut off and not being displayed on the...

    Original Space Invaders RAM

While preparing to adjust R257, R253 I thought about cleaning all the pots so I pulled the chassis and removed the circuit board from it. After that I was looking at that old crusty 2 watt Resistor and decided to check on it. Sure enough it was out of tolerance. From there I went ahead and...

    Original Space Invaders RAM

Understood. I got a bit more exaggerated in my adjusting and that seemed to help my situation. These rings where way out of adjustment and I didn't see any factory ring marks present. Its improved as far as centering is concerned. I still have a little bow towards the right though. My biggest...

    Original Space Invaders RAM

I remember reading the +73 V when I recapped it, adjusting it with R212, but I am going to recheck it now that you mentioned it. I seem to recall a test point for that was #2 maybe. I will put a meter on now and see what it is. Its at +75.1 DC, is this acceptable? When either of the two...

    Original Space Invaders RAM

So... I read through the 19V1001-19" CRT Service Manual & Parts Catalog and its clearly written for those familiar with CRT circuits but I was able to make several adjustments. I did adjust the vertical size for instance. But I still do not see how to move the vertical projection for centering...

    Original Space Invaders RAM

So here is what I did, I wanted to check for voltages at the test ROM because it was acting as if there was nothing in position "H". I tried reseating it and there was no change. I went back and put in the game ROM's and figured if nothing changed I would test the data and address pins at that...

    Original Space Invaders RAM

Here is my rig, I picked it up a year ago and I have been looking for a descent "how to" as far as applying it to trouble shooting. I get taking voltages with it and seeing + or - voltages graphically but how to interpret frequencies or timing I'm not there yet...
