Then I'm back to eliminating the ARIIs with a couple of 12v amps. It's not rocket surgery. *shrug*
The whole brick is gone. There is a second Big Blue still there which is mounted separately to a bracket on the cab floor- looking at the manual, it is identical to the one on the brick.
Yeah...
It looks like based on the schematic that the ARIIs run on 10.3VDC?
If that's correct I guess I could just hook them up to 12V through a trim pot and knock it down...
Hmm. Would be a lot easier than eliminating them entirely.
The only thing that's actually in there from the "Atari Power Structure" as you call it is the Big Blue.
After I posted I did some reading and it turns out the ARIIs are actually missing as well, so I think I may just install a switching power supply and a couple small audio amps to replace...
I recently got a Pole Position that was mostly complete- it was missing the monitor and the power supply.
I replaced the monitor with a Suzo-Happ LCD that I had laying around- do I need the original power supply?
Do the PP boards require some odd voltage where I can't just drop in a modern DC...
I just got an Assault this past weekend. Wanted one for years...
They had this game at a super-ette across the street from my dad's office. I used to take the wrong school bus home so I could get to the other side of town just to play this game (or just stare at it). Then at 6 I'd book...
Holy crap! I was just scouring the earth for a set of these. I'm in for two sets of each. Will they match the original artwork? Everything I'm finding as far as repros are a little "off"...
I have these two joysticks I acquired. The grips look like they are Atari style Battlezone, or Red Baron. They have black fire buttons instead of the red lighted ones.
They ALSO have a pot on the bottom with four wires coming out, like a rotary joystick. I say a pot because I don't feel any...
Yeah, it's certainly no Galaxian- it TRIES to be, though, LOL. The fact it has a stage boss is kind of neat. I REMEMBER this game- I don't love it, to be sure. Not a favorite, or a must have for me or anything. I mostly picked it up for the price and to cut my teeth on restoration work.
Lots...
Hi, everybody! First post!
Recently we got a Ms Pac Man cocktail at my work, and I got re-bitten by the arcade gaming bug. Went to an auction yesterday, and wound up impulse buying a Phoenix. It worked, looked to be in decent shape (plywood is a little banged up at the bottom) and was $125...
