This is a dangerous topic. You guys are talking me into not doing restoration work at all. This is my worst nightmare with this hobby...working hard to get something looking good, then getting bored with it and wanting to get rid of it.
Sure do. My Kung Fu Master is in a Robotron cab (1st cab I bought and was already painted over...a lot) and my Vertical Jamma is in a Dig Dug cab that has been painted over a few times and housed at least 2 converted games before I bought it stripped out.

After some thought, I may try a heat gun on the covering paint layers and use goof off on what is left. Really not sure if it is worth it tho. Even when the goof off works, it wants to take off the original...
I tried again tonight using goof off vs. oil based paint. It is officially a lost cause. It did great vs. the 2nd layer of paint, which seems to be latex. Getting thru that 1st layer is the hopeless part.
Your prior success gave me hope, Lein, but it is not to be.
