Thanks. I have some deoxit spray, I assume that works well for cleaning up that scorch mark. As for the capacitor, should it stay at 6.8uF and just increase the voltage to 25ish V or can the uF be different as well?

So upon a closer inspection it seems that I never connected the +12v wire. Connected it and now sound works. Thanks for the suggestions.
