Don, thanks for the info. I'd most likely go with a Red aliens, as I dont think they hacked the monitor too much to get it horizontal. Unfortunately I dont know too much more info on the cab, a friend is looking to possibly acquire and all I had was the pics to go on. If/when he gets it, I'll...
I'd agree with, except for two small things. One, devastators is vertical. Granted, the monitor could have been rotated. But two, the p2 button placement on the SF conversion seems waaaaayyyy close to the edge. Devastators CP has them away from the edge more toward the inside of the cab. Any...
Ok, collective. I cant lay a finger on this one. Been thinking about it for a bit now, and I cant quite seem to put a name to it. Anybody have any ideas? Its in the States, but im thinking maybe an earlier foreign cab? Cant seem to match it up to anything. Looks to have an over/under door, so...
Very likely worn out. Wasn't exactly high grade steel they were using to build these things, and you've got to figure that machine has four hundred thousand plays on it, never mind the million kids who sat in it in every laundromat known to man and jacked the wheel six ways from Sunday. Cruisin...
If I remember correctly, drift has the game video output from the video card on the pc. Don't think I've ever seen anything plugged in to the I/o. If you connect your vga to the onboard video (the connector on the back of the computer near the usb ports, headphone jacks, etc) you will get some...
I would check on that steering wheel as well. I used to work at a namco arcade way back when, had a hyperdrive converted to California speed, but whoever did the conversion didn't upgrade the wheel. Game was basically unplayable because while pretty much every midway driver ever made used a 270...
Probably something insanely rare. Like to the point where you could scrap your cab, and sell that piece for enough to buy a new one. Honestly, I am at a loss on that one. For now, at least.
T2 is reliable, in my experience. Getaway is pretty solid, the shadow wasn't too bad either, had one of those for a while. Any of the later system 11' s are pretty okay too, just mostly not as exciting as DMD machines.
It's the light cover for dinoscore. It goes over the flourescent lights inside the cabinet with the "lava" drips facing down towards the playfield. It's a PITA to clean, breaks easy, and it is definitely not flexible.
Some TV's also have a "hotel mode" or something along that line in the settings where it will restore the tv status to a set condition when power is restored. Set it for on, and whenever the game is powered on, the TV should turn itself back on. Also, make sure you get a tv that has a vga input...
Or you could stop by our beach arcade (10 minutes off 95 in Connecticut) to help me get my Top Skater up and running....and then play all the games you want all day for free, on me.
