    ok, tested everything and all looked ok except R908. Tested R908 while in circuit and had no readings (resistor read 47 when out of circuit). Bought new resistors from RS (47 ohm 1/2 watt 5%) installed it and replaced X701. plegged it in and had fireworks from R908. I removed X701 again and...

    Thanks for all the help from everyone. I am learning. Removed the Transistor from X701 (if this isn't needed why is it there) Now I have a picture on the screen but it is real skinny and a little to tall what will correct this? Terrible hum bar on this also. I have the fuse blocks to change...

    Thanks everyone for all the input. Checked the resistors- 220 ohm was at 207, 2 ohm was at 2.5 Will get som pictures tonight

    It is a G07-CBO.Still has the sticker on it. I took the c904 cap off of a broken board and put it on this board, But still no power or picture.

    Checked R1 and had no DC power. I was grounding to chassis frame. Is this correct ? Found the fromm flow chart and trying to Change the C904 Capacitor now.

    I have checked these things now. Power is at board Mica was installed on HOT and is not grounded Fuses are good Where is the R1 resistor located? Where can I find a good schematic. Interlock is working Sorry if these are simple ?'s but this is my first attempt Thanks for any help

    First cap done but no picture, still new to this and have no idea what to look for. This chassis came out of a super Pacman that was playing Blind. I put in a DELUXE CAP KIT AND FLYBACK from Bob Roberts. Checked everything with a meter for continuity and shorts, all ok. Took the chassis out...

  12. Cleaning boards?

    I have read where people clean the PCB's , Just wondering if you can clean the Monitor chassis the same way? Soapy water and brush ? Or Dishwasher ? (Would have to fix it before I fixed the board tho)

    Will the 30 watt be ok for everything or still use the 15 on the other caps?

    Trying to do my first cap kit. What is the easiest way to remove the flyback ? I am trying desolder braid, but it is taking forever to get all of the solder off. Thanks for any help
