I have a couple of monitors that someone gave me, they do not powerup. The back of the tube does not glow, question is there a way to test the tube itself to make sure it is still good before I spend money on repairing the chassis?

The Chassis on the back of the monitor had some bad resisters and the cap marked RED was brunt I am replacing it hopefully that will fix it. RUE which honda shop do you work at so I know not to take my car there. Thanks for all your help
