Thanks for the tips, I had no idea where to start looking really. I'll have to check those things a little later tonight. I think test mode won't work b/c the screen is blank, no? It looks like the screen is getting shut off, but not completely sure. Sorry I'm not very technical with these...

Bad tube eh? That's not good news! Where'd you find new tubes? I read that you could change the tube, but it would have to fit the yoke and all that exactly, so it's difficult to find the correct one. Thanks for the info.

Mine has the same issue. It doesn't bother me too much game play wise, but I do worry that it could be damaging something. Did you ever figure out what was causing this problem?

I picked up an Asteroids Deluxe recently (yay!) and the backdrop is not in the greatest shape, although still usable. Just to be clear, I'm talking about the 3D, glow under black light cardboard piece. Does anyone make repros of these?

You can spray some Lysol in the cabinet before you clean anything. Obviously don't spray it on any of the electronics directly, but a few short spritzes on the moldy wood is good. Try to close the back of the cabinet quickly after so the Lysol fumes stay in there and leave it shut for a few...

Dang Phet, that is one nice game room! Love the way the Ms Pac fits perfectly into that nook, is that a fridge nook or something? Ah, some day, maybe I'll get my act together and make a nice game area too.

As far as cool factor goes, I'd have to say SI wins hands down. The heart beat thud sounds it makes, the cabinet, the black light and mirror, the nostalgic and brand recognition factors. For game play though, I'd go with Galaga. Either one would be sweet though.
