Just downloaded MAME 58. Roms seem to be working fine. Is there any benefit to downloading MAME 59? If so, can the same ROMS from 58 be used???

Just downloaded MAME Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. - Works great - just wondered why some of the sounds in the games are not present (such as when Mario or when Kong Jr. moves or jumps.) Does anyone know why this happens? Is it my computer? thx

I left it in the unzipped format - di dnot help - still get the error that the files are missing - am I doing something wrong???

I did that - I have the Downloaded game in its unzipped format in the ROMS directory. When I open the MAME EXE. and then double click Donkey Kong, it returns an error telling me that some files are missing (looks like the same ones in the zipped file) - any ideas??- and again, many thanks!!!

I just moved the unzipped DOnkeyKong files to the roms directory under MAME - but- can not load it - what are the steps to load - sorry , but I really appreciate all the help!!! thx!!
