I have not fiddled much with the pedal pot calibration since then. I am guessing what needs to happen is to get into the machine and defeat the physical pedal "stop" to allow the pedal to go down further.
I am still stumped on my music issue. Once the music has finished playing in the first...
I fiddled with that, but could not get desired results. At rest, the pot sits at "09" and the machine recommends it be 0B. I cannot get it lower than 09. Pushing it higher made the speed worse.
On the Sound Board Interface Error: I could understand what you are talking about when the machine is first turned on, but would this occur even in Self Diagnostics when the machine has been on for a bit already?
On switching the two chips: I did that and guess what? ALL sounds work perfectly...
In Self Diagnostics I get "Sound Board Interface Error." I do not see where to get the music to play. In Sounds, they all play, just the ones coming from the right speaker are not as loud as they should be. In the Channel test, 1 2 and 3 are normal volume, 4 5 and 6 are low.
I tried...
Ok, I will work on a few things and hopefully work something out. I appreciate all the input.
Were there any thoughts on the music? Like why it would not continue to play during gameplay?
No, no mold, must just be the picture. The pedal's workings are a bit rusty, yes.
Speaking of that, I have read about modifying the pedal somehow so the car will drive faster, but can find nothing definitive on it. Any opinions there?
If you look in picture #1 (and possibly others) at the bottom left, it appears I have an extra ground wire just wrapped around the other wires for "storage." Should that be somewhere? Also:
On the left side the only board I see is the Cheap Squeak Deluxe, unless I am misunderstanding your...
I do see a board called "MCR Switcher Adapter v3.1 copyright 2003" in the back there, where that one molex connector is not plugged into anything. Where is the ground for it? That screw on the bottom right?
Here is a link where I feature thumbnails leading to very high-resolution pictures I just took of the inside of the cabinet in case anyone can see something odd. Several of the boards look brand-new, while the "sandwich" itself is obviously original.
