    Sounds like your programming the security bit. If this is the case then the read back will be all 1's. Look for the option to disable that and try again for peace of mind.

    All the PAL chips can be secured. Occasionally you will find them to be unprotected and its definately worth trying to read them out in a programmer. If it reads back full of 1's then its most likely protected. Chips like the PLS153 etc cannot be protected and any supporting programmer can read...

    Then thats why its not working. You are in the wrong directory chances are you have jedutil in a folder thats part of your path so you are able to run it regardless of your current directoy. You need to navigate your command prompt to where the file actually is
